Can't find any coverage of the Short Dance on British Eurosport yet they are repeating all their live coverage again & again.
Eurosport are great aren't they (!).

As you may know, one of the 4 major snooker tournaments of the season (the UK Championships) starts on Saturday. However, because this week’s Grand Prix is in Osaka, the time difference between Japan and Europe means there are no clashes. The skating is on in the morning, and the snooker is on in the afternoon.

This was actually the easiest Schedule post I have done all season, as there is very little variation between the different versions of Eurosport.

Apart from the Ice Dance competitions, EVERYTHING is being shown LIVE. :cheer:  :party2:

The only major difference is that Eurosport France are showing a few of the competitions on ESP1 rather than ESP2. (And, from looking at the schedules, I cannot find an obvious reason why they are doing this!) Apart from that, there are some minor time changes for highlights programmes later in the week.

You may notice that there are not quite as many repeats this weekend. That is because of 2 reasons: the Wintersports Season is getting into full swing, and the UK Championships. But, it looks like they are going to keep showing the highlights from the NHK right up to the GP Final (Hey, the listings on the Eurosport website don’t go far enough yet to get the end time for one of the repeats! ) So, that will kinda make up for it.

Can't find any coverage of the Short Dance on British Eurosport yet they are repeating all their live coverage again & again.

As MidnightSkater has pointed out, British Eurosport are not showing the Short Dance from the NHK. But, neither are any of the other versions of Eurosport, so that is hardly surprising.

I can understand why they’re not showing the Dance competitions live. They are the first competitions of the day on Saturday and Sunday, so it would mean VERY early starts for the commentators back in Europe.

But, I do agree that it have been better if they had scheduled a replay (or even highlights) of the Short Dance in somewhere later in the day, like they are doing with Sunday’s Free Dance.

Although, it does seem strange that the Free Dance is being shown AFTER the Gala. Like, when we watch the Gala, we’ll find out the results of the Dance!

Guess what ?.................I only got an answer from Eurosport after I emailed them yesterday
It reads; We take our figure skating coverage from Eurosport International who do not always show the full Gala. Unfortunately we can only show what they show, which is also why we don't have any coverage of the Short Dance this weekend.
We understand your frustration & apologise for the disappointment caused.
Kind of does not make sense as they do show different from International Eurosport when it suits them but I am happy I got a reply.

To all Canadians out here, CBC will only stream the Free Skate event for each discipline on Saturday. Please check the website out to see when the stream starts in your location. :)

Just a wee reminder that today's coverage on Eurosport of the NHK Trophy will start in around 10 minutes with the Ladies Free.

This will be followed by highlights of the Pars Free, and then LIVE coverage of the Men's Free.

Here are some links:

Currently showing Ski Pass

Hope this helps

I really just need to vent.

Note: I'm talking about Swedish Eurosport here, lest there be any confusion.

Sometimes I hate Eurosport - hate! Why the bl--dy h-ll can't they show what they say they are going to show?! Is that too much to ask - is it?! My digital box says that it is showing figure skating - the schedule they showed on TV after the ladies free said that they were going to show the pairs highlights, and then the men's live. But they seem h-llbent on showing anything and everything except that. Why did they need to show Watts? Was there somebody who badly needed to watch Watts at this particular moment and no other? And then I check this:

http://tv.eurosport.se/tvschedule.shtml

No figure skating. Can't they bl--dy sort out their own bl--dy schedule? Is that modicum of competence too much to ask?! Gah!

So, it's not just British ESP that mess things up, then.

I can understand your frustration. Especially when I see what are they showing in preference. Curling?! That must be the most boring "sport" you can watch!

Anyway, just a wee reminder that today's LIVE coverage on Eurosport of the NHK Trophy will continue in just under 10 minutes with the Men's Free.

Looks like they might have took on board your complaint. They showed Weaver/Poje's SD in between their delayed coverage of the Pairs FS and the LIVE Men's FS!!!!

Maybe we should complain more... ;)

I'm not holding out any hope
Do you know what is happening with British Eurosport tomorrow ?.
They said today on air that the Ice Dance free would be live on Sunday morning at 6.00am but that's when the gala is scheduled but I just checked British Eurosports listings on Sky & it lists LUGE straight after the Gala at 8.15am & NOT the Ice Dance free.
It also says that on the website.
Any help

I haven't a clue! Nicky and the graphic said that the Free Dance was on from 06:00 - 06:45 GMT. And then the Gala following, from 06:45 - 08:15 GMT.

But, as you have pointed out, the Sky EPG listings (and the Eurosport website) are still saying the Gala is on from 06:00 - 08:15 GMT, but with the loogie following instead of the FD.

So, my advice would be to get up for 06:00 GMT, and sit down and watch whatever comes on until all the skating is over! Because we obviously can't rely on them putting on what they say they're going to!

And to think I was starting to think Eurosport were finally getting their act together and listening to what their viewers wanted...

My antivirus doesn't "like" the website Day.to (I think that's how it's called), but nothing from the others, though now I'm only using the ISU one.

Has anyone had any trouble with getting any viruses from any of the webstreams?

My antivirus doesn't "like" the website Day.to (I think that's how it's called), but nothing from the others, though now I'm only using the ISU one.

With Day.to, the website itself isn't the problem. It's the ads that are on it that the anti-virus is picking up.

As long as you don't download any of the things the ads tell you that you "need" to download, you should be alright.

Anyway, just a wee reminder that Eurosport's coverage of the NHK Trophy will continue today in around 10 minutes.

As for what it will be showing, I'm not sure. It might be highlights of the Free Dance followed by LIVE coverage of the Gala (as Nicky and the on-screen graphic said yesterday). Or it might be just LIVE coverage of the Gala (as the Sky EPG and the Eurosport website say).

Yes- probably due to the ads, but none the less:
In the past I got
Conduit
Generic Trojan
and some Shopping hijacker

Adaware took care of most of it, plus uninstalling Conduit and the Boss Shop or whatever it was from tbe control panel.

It took more than one scan to get rid of everything, AFAIR.
