That's really disappointing. Wasn't there a junior pair?

Ami KOGA (at least, I assume it's her, since I don't know how her name is written in Japanese) and Francis BOUDREAU AUDET are listed in the Junior Pairs category. And yep, it's just them.

There's no junior/senior specification in the schedule, so I take it they'll all skate together (that would make it... all of two pairs): SP Dec 26, 21:45-22:15 JST (12:45-13:15 UTC); FS Dec 28, 15:05-15:35 JST (6:05-6:35 UTC)

I'm so confused. Why would they do that?? They're senior-age eligible, are they not?

Age eligibility gives me a headache, I just don't seem to get it... all I can add is that their ISU bio lists 6th February 1999 as Koga's birthday and 8th November 1993 for Boudreau-Audet...

Can we at least have the junior pair compete against the senior pair? Doesn't seem right for T/K to be named National champions without any competition.

The problem is that juniors and seniors have different program requirements. Koga and Boudreau-Audet would have to add 30 seconds to their long program and add a third lift in order to compete senior.
