Go Team Turkey!

Alisa Agafonova is the most beautiful woman in any sport. I have a serious crush.

If only I were 30 years younger. And spoke Turkish. Being handsome wouldn't hurt.

Hi everyone, I just have a (maybe stupid) question:

I don't know how draws are made, but it seems to have something to do with the level of the skaters (with top skaters in the last groups?) ? Then how Ilinykh/Zhiganshin can skate in the third group ?
Or is it related to the previous participation ? Think there's something I don't get...

They are a new couple, they haven't accumulated nearly as much ranking points as their peers.

Skaters are drawn according to their world standings.

Top 5 are drawn into the last group
Next 5 into the second to last group and so on until you draw the first half of the field. In this case the top 15 teams get privileged draw.
The lower ranked half of the field are then all drawn together for the early groups.
Teams with no standing points skate first with a separate draw for them.

This should be the most interesting competitions at these Euros, which means the only one when we're not sure that at least one Russian skater will be on the podium  (not that I am against Russia, but a bit of variety in the nations on the podium is only good for the sport)

Don't watch 1999 Euros then ;) Russia missed three medals and got 4 out of 4 golds.

God, I'm back from almost 2 weeks without Internet...Seriously - I don't know how I stood it and now I don't know what thread read and what video watch after missing lat week with US and Canadian nats.

But the highlight of my evening is that I fixed my Internet finally (I hope) and I'll be back from work just for short dance tomorrow :)

In general- good luck to all of teams, but special kicks for Gabriella and Guillaume - all season long there's something off for me about their SD and I hope they'll do it right finally.

Go I/Z :yay:

YES!!!! Best draw possible for them too given their current WR. Hopefully they will blow it away.

Hahaha yes, I actually am probably going to try to watch the early groups in this one too. Sometimes there are some real undiscovered gems in dance, at least in terms of artistry/interpretation which tends to be less true for me in the other disciplines for some reason.

Good luck to everyone :) Go Elena and Ruslan, Gabriella and Guillame - and most of all, go Natalia and Maksim!
