KASKA, Pavel 26
4th Euros - Best Result: 19th

He's had bad luck at Euros so I hope he does OK. 3 Lutz nice and fluid, 3t -3t combo. 2A. Light techno music for the steps and climax, but he doesn't sell it. Your tipical bland OE skater but it was clean so he should have no problems qualifying.

Samuel Koppel just interviewed on TV4 in English.

Interviewer asks "Do you think you'll get through to the Final"

Samuel (very difinitively): "No!"

Well, at least he's being realistic and is not under any false illusions.

Till now the level is very poor.. the post-Olympic season is very hard to watch because till past year, even the low ranked skaters were better... or maybe I was more used to and fond of them (I barely identify some skaters in these first 3 groups). It's like being a teacher who has followed for 4-5 years the same students, watched them growing up, becoming better and better and then you say goodbye to them and start again with a new bunch of students/skaters.

Totally agree!

Pink Floyd's Money. Always a welcome choice. Not so much his pink shirt with $ icon on the back. 3lz ugly fall. 2A tight. nervy performance.

I'm glad that Kaška skated well. He is not favorite or super skater but this performance was nice, definitely best of the first group. He should make it to the FP.
