No Polina?
She tends to bomb her SPs, so maybe that's why?

I think Gracie will win the SP, with Ashley second. The big question is whether Ashley will do enough in the free to take back her title (and whether Gracie leaves the door open).

1. Gracie Gold (clean w/ 3-3, 74-75 depending on how generous the PCS is).

2. Ashley Wagner (clean, but will be nervous, jump smaller, and get dinged with a UR on the second jump of the 3F-3T, 71-72)

3. Polina Edmunds (clean w/ 3-3, 68-69)

4. Courtney Hicks (strong w/ 3-3, maybe a silly stumble on the 2A, 63-64)

5. Amber Glenn (clean w/ 3-3, surprise of the night, also around 63-64)

6. Samantha Cesario (clean, but UR on the latter half the 3F-3Lo, 62-63)

I foresee the lead getting to Gold a little bit in the FS. She'll make a mistake or two and if Ashley could go clean, she will win. Polina will skate solidly and finish 3rd. Cesario, one of the most consistent skaters, will have a great FS and move up to 4th overall.

Based on her GPF performances and lack of a 3-3, I don't see Christina being in the top 6. But you never know. So many of the other skaters are adding 3-3s to their short in order to remain competitive.

I think Gracie will lead after the short program. Not sure where Ashley will wind up - historically she has not had good SP and does better in the FS. If she fixes her mental issues with Nationals - I think she will be right behind Gracie.

1. Ashley Wagner (since I want things to be interesting )
2. Gold (however, first place is also probable)
3. Samantha (I think the judges will tolerate the lutz edge and 3Lo :rolleye:)
4. Mirai (MIRACLES HAPPEN!!! :cheer2:)
5. Hicks (she skates kinda well this season)
6. Edmunds (tends to bomb the SP, but she could still place well)

I see a total shake up with the short. The jumpers will jump out front....BUT...the long will shake up things even more with some SURPRISES!

SP Results
1) Hicks
2) Cessario
3) Edmunds
4) Wagner
5) Nagasu
6) Gold

But this is not the end to the story! As Taylor Swift says, "Shake it Off!"
