Taking to myself (cause Doris is actually there IN PERSON!).

This was quite the field for junior dance with 7 out of the 12 couples scoring 50+. McNamara/Carpenter definitely stood out in speed and ice coverage -- plus it seems McNamara seems a lot more comfortable in her growing body, which was nice to see! The Parsons were solid, but definitely a touch below their teammates. Pogrebinsky/Benoit had a really nice spilt lift.

However, I think as far as enjoyment, I enjoyed Carreira/Ponomarenko the most. They had great posture and looked happy to be out there. To be within medal contention after such a short time as a team is quite noteworthy. I think they will move up pretty quickly. Really felt bad for Moore/Klaber -- they had a pretty good dance, but made a major error in the second pattern, I could see her blade slip during one of the key points.

I felt bad for Lewis/Bye. She's grown quite a bit since last year, which is an adjustment for both of them, and then he fell! At least they got decent PCS scores. I hope they can move up in the FD.

And what was with Biechler/Dodge? Their TES was way, way off. She has grown a lot, too. I have a feeling this pair is on its way to splitsville.

I enjoyed most of the dance teams. I find the jr SD less annoying than the sr SD. I was a bit surprised by how big a lead M/C have over the Parsons, those pesky key points did them in I guess. Noticing that some of the girls are trying to outgrow their partner made me realize how lucky Davis/White were to leave JRs still well matched
