Isn't this supposed to be on CTV now? Is Bouchard more popular than figure skating now in Canada(sincerely curious as I admire Ms Bouchard's tennis skills)?:)

I'm watching on CTV.

Bouchard probably is more popular though. Chan attracts a lot of attention here so skating will increase again in popularity once he's back.

Thank you for the reply. I guess its just my pathetic attempts to watch via VPN that is not working then:laugh:. Hope you are enjoying the event .

Has anyone watched it? Didn't they get 111 at GPF? That makes me think they had problems, maybe on twizzles?

I haven't seen any major problems (at least I haven't seen on the twizzles) but they were a little bit slow. On the other hand g/p got 104, and P/I 95 (they got -1, I think for the lift).
But I will have to see protocols, havn't seen them yet.
btw groups 1 and 2 should be on daily motion. I watched 2nd group over there and I really enjoyed all dance, some of the dance pairs were very good.

I just went back and checked - they got 109.8 at GPF. Still, I would have expected higher for a clean program at Nationals

perhaps there was no major inflation?
On the other hand Paradis/Ouetlette got 96, and on previous occasion their results were lower so ....I really don't know.
There are protocols for G/P and others but not for W/P

No problems. Seems like they've been dialing back a little on the inflation with W/P and D/R, which is interesting. They both only scored a little bit higher than their PBs. I'm okay with that. I was fully expected something ridiculous like 158 for D/R lol.

well. D/R had gliches, small ones, but still.
so you are right. But if they dialed back on inflation on them, why not on some others?
On the other hand, perhaps it is better, the others will be enouraged that they got good marks and work harder,. On the other hand 1st pairs (dance and sport) already know that they are good but they will also know that they will be no inflation for them, So they also work harder.

Had D/R skated as flawlessly as they did at GPF I'm sure we would have seen 155+

Anyway, I'm watching the CTV broadcast now, so I'll soon see W/P and be able to compare. I hope they show P/O too. I just love their FD

I don't think so. Their glitches were really quite small.
CTV did show P/O. I also love their free dance.
