Hey Mrs P, just one correction to your otherwise awesome post.

21:20 is 9:20pm, not 10:20pm :)

I'm two hours ahead, so this is going to be great - watching live!

I heard the rumor on Jeffrey Buttle choreographing his sp program a couple of times among Korean fans, but there has been no official confirmation so far. His ISU bio mentions only Cindy Stuart. KSU does not keep a record on the choreographer information on their website.

Michael Christian Martinez withdrew so there are 26 entries now.
It would stink to be the 2 skaters to not qualify after the short program.

This will be the most difficult of all the events for me to catch live during 4CC. I will probably watch at least the final two groups live. Between Pairs and the final two groups of Men, I need to fit a nap in there somewhere. ;)

Looking forward to Ten (both), Yan, Misha and Adam. :cheer2:
Thanks Mrs.P! Interesting indeed. I'm guessing this is a test run for these quads before Worlds. I'm not worried about Jason's 4T, he'll probably get it done but I am wondering what will happen with his 3A once he puts in that quad since its already unstable. It would also be nice if Adam got his 4Lz ratified.

I think Jason's 3A will be fine; he usually does well with it as long as it's early enough in his program. I really only ever hold my breath for the 2nd 3A in his LP. I wonder if Joshua will go for it in the SP, too. This is really exciting! I think this is probably the lowest-pressure chance for Jason to attempt this in a competition that isn't a Senior B. He doesn't have to worry about qualifying for the GP final or making the world team at nationals, so it's a great idea for him to get it out there now if he thinks it's ready. Nail those quads, Jason and Adam! :cheer:

Oh, man. Please skate well, guys. I don't know if I can handle another competition like the men at Euros.

Interesting. Adam's 4Lz is nothing new--he tried it in both programs at Nationals. Surprised Jason will try the quad in the middle of a season. Not sure how to feel about that... I'm glad Nam will add it to his SP! His quad is looking stable in the LP, and he'll need it in both programs to compete with the best.

4CCs is a good time to try stuff. Unlike worlds and European Championships, all countries can send 3 skaters, so no spots on the line like at worlds if something you try goes badly. It is also not a series of competitions like the grand prix where you are trying to make the final. Really it is the smartest time to try new stuff with the least risk.

Agreed. There's not a lot on the line, so I expect to see the guys trying their maximum.

I do wish the 4CC title had more prestige attached to it... but the less prestige it has, the more likely top skaters will skip it, which only lessens its prestige... :hopelessness: Not really fair, since this year, 4CC is looking just as competitive as Euros if not more so.

I think, all in all, this is a more deeply elite competition than Euros this year.

In particular, I expect the men's competition to easily outshine the Euros. Pairs, too. Dance, too.

Women... certainly not as deep, but it's not really a dud field either.

And, like Sandpiper, I hope this competition gains some "oomph." It's been the easily-skipped weak sister for too long.
