Jason Brown SP clip 4T difficult to see but looks 2footed or UR. 3A looks ok.
Do your best Jason.
One of the attractive things about Jason's programs are his transitions. however, when going into the 3A and the 4T his transitions are very easy or not there. So, it makes the program look a bit less interesting. However, if he sells the rest of the program as usual, it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
Jason's jumps aren't tight as some people complain. The quad is 2foot though.

Definitely 2 footed. I might just give the rotation to him.

Ah, but if the judges see a 2foot, they will definitely take another look with the slow-mo. Will they be lenient?

In any case, no matter how the quad is landed in competition this is an important step for Jason. If this time it is UR, then next time it can be better.

Wonder who is on the Tech Panel this time for the men's??

Let's see...

Australia's Deborah Noyes is the TECH Controller
Italy's Franca Bianconi is the TECH specialist
South Korea's Jae-Eun Chung is the Assistant. TECH specialist.

4T definitely 2footed, close on the UR. I'd need to see a better angle/closer shot (which the tech panel will see), but it definitely looked suspect.

Joshua Farris LP clip...nice spin.

From twitter
Joshua Farris FS 3a, 4t fall, 3f-3t, 3l, 3a-2t-2l, 3lz, 3lz, 2s

Gorgeous sit spin, and of course the beautiful beginning of that enchanting step sequence. I love his use of the whole body.

Adam Rippon Cilp
Looks like 4lz -landed but too far away to see if it is rotated
nice 3A.

From Twitter: 3lz(shaky), 3a-2t, tano3lz<, 3a, tano3lz-3t, 3f-3s, 3l, 2a
So maybe not a 4Z?

4Lz, but looked like a hook on the landing...looked suspect to me. I'd like a closer look. It wasn't as bad as the one in the LP at Nationals which was extremely obviously a <<.

To be fair, everybody's spins are slower than Jason's...

Except maybe Adam's.

Hanyu can keep up pretty well too.
Not sure about Adam's speed, but his positions aren't as good, IMO (except for his gorgeous layback).

The first time I saw Jason's spins I thought my computer was doing something wrong. Given some of his amazing positions, they look unreal.

Yeah, I have just rewatched Yuzuru, his spins are as fast as Jason.

Do judges give higher points to fast spins? Personally, I'm not too bothered if a spin is slower because sometimes it fits the music better that way. Joshua's SP spins being a perfect example.
Of course, if a spin gets too slow my head and neck begin to involuntarily jerk sideways, as if that will help it go faster.

I think they give higher score for fast and well-centered spins. Joshua's spins are not slow definitely.
I don't think men must have the spin of Karen Chen or Yulia, of course.
Jason spins are fast and he keeps his position very well. Joshua's spin looks more aesthetically beautiful IMO because it's very steady.
But for sure Yuzuru, Jason anf Joshua have better spins than many ladies.
