2015 Junior Worlds Men's Short Program March 6

Just had a look at the running order. Surprised that Krzysztof GALA is kicking off the competition. Thought he would have been in a later group.

And I see Jason Brown's Azeri doppelgänger will be taking us into the first resurfacing.

It's going to be a long day, what with 40 guys now, and then 24 girls doing their Free later!

Sota, like Wakaba is in his first year isn't he? There's no pressure on him to be dazzling this time around.

Some of the others, Boyang, Shoma, Adien really need this win. I'll be happy of Sota does well, but he has time.

I remember James from the Junior Grand Prix...he's got a lot of personality. I think he skated to Edvin Marton but I don't recall if that was for his SP or FS.

Don't know anything about him apart from what is on his ISU Bio.

But I was impressed to see that he is listed as part of his choreography team. It's always good to see skaters getting so intimately involved in the making of their own programmes.

I just had a thought.

Are any of the judges that are doing the Men's SP liable to be doing the Ladies FS as well?

Because, if they are, that will be 64 skaters they will be judging!!! :eek:

6 hours sitting there for the Men's SP, and then 3h 30m more for the Ladies FS, with only a 1h 15m break in between the 2 competitions!!!! :eek:

If any of them are doing this, how on Earth are they supposed to keep their concentration for the guts of 10 hours???!!!

When you think of it like that, it is so unfair that they are not even getting paid for their services to the sport.
