Here is the thread where you can make your predictions for the World Championships.

Please note that since the World Championships are the most prestigious competition of the year, we are running revised rules for this round. For more information, please see the original post of the Rules thread.

Entries/Results Page:
http://www.isuresults.com/results/wc2015/index.htm

The Senior competitions start on 25[SUP]th[/SUP] March 2015 at 09:30 CST (02:30 CET / 01:30 GMT) with the Short Dance.

So, predictions need to be in 1 hour before that, i.e. 08:30 CST (01:30 CET / 00:30 GMT)

If you need any help working out what time this is where you are, here is a Time Converter that Mrs. P very kindly posted in the Cup of China Predictions thread.

Entries

The Entries/Results page is not up yet, so in the meantime here are the links to the provisional entry lists, i.e. the lists that include possible substitutes.

Ladies:

Men:

Pairs:

Dance:

EDIT (23rd March 2015): Entries / Results page is now up, so I have added the link and replaced the Provisional entry list tables with the actual entry lists.

Please be aware that these are the provisional entry lists, and they may change by the time the Entry/Results page comes online.

Let the fun begin!!!

Haven`t followed pairs and ice dance as much, but I guess Duhamel/Raddford wins in pairs and Wever/Poje or Papadiakis/Cizeron in ice dance

men
  1. yuzuru hanyu
  2. javier fernandez
  3. denis ten
  4. joshua farris
  5. maxim kovtun
  6. han yan

I'm most scared of this. Yuzu is still injured, D10 and Javi are unpredictable as hell, but we do have Farris that is showing an uphill rise. I am seeing him as the most probable one that can be on the podium.

pairs
  1. duhamel/radford
  2. sui/han
  3. kavaguti/smirnov
  4. pang/tong
  5. peng/zhang
  6. tarasova/morozov

With the pairs gold being a lock already to D/R, it's the battle between Sui/Han, Kav/Smir, Pang/Tong, and Peng/Zhang that will be the most exciting. Can't forget about Tara/Moro. If they skate amazing, their quality can rival the qualities of the Chinese paris.

ice dance
  1. weaver/poje
  2. chock/bates
  3. papadakis/cizeron
  4. shibutanis
  5. cappellini/lanotte
  6. ilinykh/zhiganshin

I think Wea/Po are still the frontrunners of the game. I think the judging in the 4CC SD event proves that the judges are willing to give them the marks.

A VERY RANDOM QUESTION: have we heard of Tessa and Scott's plan for next year?

Well, I didn't see the point of creating a Predictions Thread until we had a Provisional Entry List. And, as it appeared on Friday, I thought it would be better to wait a few days until Junior Worlds were finished.

Incidentally, I forgot to mention something important in the original post of this thread.

Please note that since the World Championships are the most prestigious competition of the year, we are running revised rules for this round. For more information, please see the original post of the Rules thread.

Of course you can join in if you haven't played already, and your scores will still be counted. In fact, with the double points and bonuses, this would be the perfect time for new players to join in, as there is the potential for you to very quickly make up a lot of ground.

Hope this helps

Any news on Yuzuru? I know he had surgery awhile ago and also injured his ankle.
Will he be at Worlds?

I think the only thing we can be somewhat sure is he will be there even if he will have to crawl on the ice :slink: Other than that we don't know anything. We can't even say 100 % where he is now training, but it's propably in Japan...

Interesting....I actually think Javier is going to do better than some people think. He's been working exteremly hard since he got back to Canada and he seems to be very focused, he might nab Gold/Silver this time around IMO. Yuzuru's a big question mark since we have no news about his condition and Denis, well I'd be surprised if he delivers as well or close to his 4CC performance.

Same for ladies, I feel like Radio will take this one.
