The ISU video channel will carry the event live.

It appears to be blocked in the USdue to icenetwork covering it. Icenetwork schedule:

Doris is correct. @ISU_Reporter has tweeted what is essentially a confirmation of the U.S. geoblocking:

Bummer about US geoblocking by the ISU channel.

When it's not free a big yellow X appears. If no yellow X but a picture and a clock counting down, it' should be OK

For me in Sweden it says 'live stream starts in 5 days +...'

Not true on my computer. YMMV.

I am in the U.S., and I usually see the clock counting down just fine before the streaming has started. No big yellow X before the streaming has started.

But ... after the streaming has started, I do see the big yellow X.

Wouldn't surprise me if the ISU blocks its streaming within Japan.

TV Asahi has rights within Japan, AFAIK.

I'm in Japan and my understanding is that it is indeed blocked in Japan in addition to the USA. Though if you have a good VPN you can be anywhere you want to pretend to be.

As mentioned above, the ISU streaming will be geoblocked in the U.S.

Just to let you know that the coverage on the ISU stream starts in just under 25 minutes from now, presumably for the Opening Ceremony.

Then the actual competitions start 50 minutes later with the Short Dance.

Down to 20 min. now. Mine is showing the countdown... Using Brazil with HOLA so hoping it will show LIVE. That would be awesome!

I just got in to work, and suddenly remembered there was skating this week. Check the site... and it starts in like 18 minutes. Not sure if that counts as good or bad timing. Hhhmmm... what excuse to use to play the livestream while working. Women are good at multitasking? ;-)

Erm, I think they're having technical difficulties.

We can hear music, and lots of cheering, but all we are seeing is random shots of the audience and empty ice.

EDIT: No need to worry, we now have the skaters with the flags on the ice. Phew!

use zenmate!! https://zenmate.com/

if you have hola on, best to disable it first before using zenmate

anyway, they use the same installing steps but you need to use your email for zenmate
