OP By Layback11

Gabrielle Daleman is one of those skaters who captures your attention right away because her jumps are
H-U-G-E! She has really striking athleticism that makes her fun to watch, and even though jumping is clearly her forte, she's got a pretty good full package. Gabrielle has a ton of potential if she can hit all her jumps, and she's still so young that she's most likely going to stick around a while. I can't wait to see how she improves, because if she skates her absolute best, she can definitely contend for top ten at worlds if not higher! She's definitely a skater I would watch out for, and thus a fan fest is being bestowed upon her!

If anyone finds links relating to her that I haven't featured here, please post them and I will edit the OP to add them. Thanks!

I wasn't aware she was that young !
She has a good spring, once she will perfect the technique, and maybe mature a bit, she will be a serious contender, but you're right she has still room to develop, I'm waiting to see what she'll do next season !! :)

I just finished Gabby's OP. She has some of the craziest fluffs ever.

Her 2012 JGP Baltic EX to Jennifer Lopez is really good! I had not seen it before!

Ever since Canadian Nationals I really loved both her programs, and it's great to see such an awesome SP by Gabby at Worlds!

Now the next question is the free skate. She had a not fully clean, but still nice one at Skate Canada, and she did really well at Nationals. I can watch the free skate live, so I'll be screaming at the computer screen for her. :cheer2: :cheer:   :yay:

I believe this is the highest total score by a Canadian singles ladies skater since Joannie Rochette at the 2010 Olympics....yes?

VERY impressed with Gabby's FS practice today. Her Rhapsody in Blue program is gorgeous. Speed, spirals, jumps, gorgeous Ina Bauer, interesting choreography - it's all there. Wishing her good luck in the SP tomorrow at Skate America.

Question for you -- have you heard any talk of her losing weight for this season (not that her weight was an issue). She seemed thinner to me yesterday, or maybe just leaner? Of course I'm usually in the nosebleed seats, so sitting in the 5th row might make a difference. SUPER impressed with her.
