Pair skaters Lina Fedorova (Russian: Лина Фёдорова) & Maxim Miroshkin (Russian: Максим Мирошкин) represent Russia. Fedorova was born on 20 December 1997, in Moscow, Russia, while Miroshkin was born on 22 May 1994 in Yekaterinburg, Russia.

Update May 2016

Maxim had a serious knee injury and surgery. The team missed the whole 2015-16 season.

The only team to perform side-by-side Biellmann spins. One of the few current teams to perform a vertical triple twist (a disappearing species in the current pairs world). These unique elements, plus his presence, plus her charisma, caught my attention at Junior Worlds.
Wishing them good luck in their senior debut next year. :cheer: The Russian field is stacked, but I hope this unique pair will get their chance to shine.

Yay, a thread for F/M! I hope she can get her sbs jumps- lina is such a star and he seems like a very solid partner. Imo they have the best twist amongst the Russian pairs, senior or junior. With a bit of work, the quad twist should come fairly easily, and it'll help their scores while they work on their jumps.

Posting this from FSU:

Mozer says that Miroshkin has gone for consultation in Munich due to his knee injury and doctors have insisted on an operation which will take place in 1.5 month's time. He'll be off the ice for at least six months.

Sounds very serious.

A bit of drama here. Mozer is claiming that Miroshkin's knee was damaged during a medical examination in Moscow? What she says about Lina's jumps also sound defensive.

"Winners of the Junior World championship on figure skating 2015 in pair skating Maxim Miroshkin Lina Fedorova and missed the first half of the new season due to injury of the season partner. Coach pair Nina Moser said the special correspondent of the Agency of the sports information "All Sport" Boris Jodorowsky that Miroshkin damaged knee ... during the medical examination in Moscow.

- Knee Maxim damaged during the medical examination in Moscow - said Nina Moser. - The official position of the Federation of figure skating of Russia in this situation will be announced tomorrow, July 8, in a special press release. I will refrain from commenting.

- The issue of the operation finally resolved?
- There is no alternative. During a visit to a German clinic Maxim held medical procedure to prepare the knee for surgery. In the near future to do it is impossible. We'll have to wait at least six weeks.

- As long as the partner is treated, Lina Fedorova will develop triple jumps, with whom she had problems last season?
- I do not know why everyone thinks that the Lina problems with jumping. She has mastered and triple Salchow, triple toe loop and. In training, the guys almost perfectly parallel to and consistently executed jumps. With Fedorova personally worked on the formulation of such a specialist jumping as Victor Kudryavtsev. That says it all"

He or somebody from his coaching team haven't said anything about his health status, by any chance? Is he recovering from his injury, and will they be skating in the coming season?
