Now there are 7 free home spots for Ladies, so probably 7 of Top Substitutes (from Karen CHEN to Roberta RODEGHIERO) will earn these spots and will not be in Substitute list.

According to General Announce, 7.6, replacenent is made in following manner:
Organizing Member makes choice of top5 (by Season Best) sucstitutes eligible for Event skaters/couples.

Skater/couple may be not eligible for substitute at Event if
(a) there are 3 skaters/couples of this country at Event
or
(b) he/she/they already have this Event.

Oh, so it's not likely that Brooklee will get one. :no: I was hoping Team Australia could rock Skate America or something.

I am so curious who gets the Russian pair TBD event. There is several young pairs, newly created and coming through and I really like them, it would be nice if either of those pairs got it. While it is sad that Miroshkin is injured, it leaves the TBD spot for someone new, which is nice.

If Zabijako is finally released, Zabijako/Enbert could have their debut. But my preferences are for one of those following pairs:

Alisa Efimova/Alexandr Korovin
She is Finnish skater, who has done pairs only for a relatively short time (about a year). The only sad thing is that they are in Pavlova's group. Hopefully she will survive it without emotional damage. They are my favourites. Althyough she struggled here a bit with her jumps, they have something in their skating that makes them very watchable. And they have two different triples, which is good.

Alina Solovyova /Viktor Kudryavtsev
Came out of nowhere and placed 4th at Russian junior nationals, beating pairs who competed at junior grand prix. Pity that they didn't get JGP event last season too, because now he aged from juniors and she is not eligible to seniors this season yet. So they can't get the remaining GP spot this season yet, but they could be the one to watch for the future.

Arina Chernivskaya/Antonio Souza-Kordyeru
had last season their debut at the GP. I don't think they were quite ready that time. Let's see whether they improved enough to get another event.

None of those pairs are obviously quite ready to fight for the top places, but I think all of them have some positives and they seem to have potential.

Probably pair Lina Fedorova / Maxim Miroshkin will WD from GP China.

News from 08 Jul 2015 - injury of Maxim Miroshkin, torn ligaments. Healing will take 4 to 6 months, so they will be able to skate at November 2015 or later, maybe Febriary 2016.

I'm noticing on the ladies entries page that Brooklee Han just got a spot (TEB I think) and it says that's newly added. Did I just miss this entry ages ago or am I the first to notice? I want to join the others (I'm looking at you, Karne! ) in cheering for her but I can't find anything on this forum about it. Did she replace someone or fill in a host pick?

She got the host pick spot I believe. It happened a couple of weeks ago.

And yes, I'm thrilled!

Me too! I remember talk a while back about how there were hopes she'd get one and didn't. Glad she has one now! Was there any talk on the forum? I searched her name but only the threads come up... don't really want to wade through 50 pages of a thread. Go Brooklee!
