Wow! :eek: An actual IG announcement from Eteri! More surprises! Good for Shoma for checking out all his options. He can definitely learn a thing or two from her team. Alina would make Shoma feel comfortable since they have done so many ice shows together. The 3A Wonder Girls would be thrilled to have him around. Alena loves Shoma! I wouldn't be surprised if she follows Shoma around with her phone, taking videos and asking him all sorts of questions. Hope she takes lots of videos, as long as they are not disturbing him. :laugh: I am sure they will treat their special "guest" with utmost care.
Wishing Shoma all the best in learning any new jump techniques & beneficial training tips from the camp. Have a great time, Shoma! We will wait for you here in the US. ;)

This time the press got it right. Earlier this week a Russian journalist even stated that the official confirmation of Shoma joining Eteri´s summer camp might be released in the end of this week and so it happened. Probably the camp begins very soon and Shoma will be spotted somewhere there anyway so it was time to confirm the big news.

I think it is an honor for team Sambo, Eteri and Dudakov, or any other coach too, to get to work with him even for the summer. Can´t imagine how he fits in there and could Sambo be his final base but now it´s confirmed that it is an option for him. Didn´t he say at first that the overseas summer camp is his own idea? Not sure about this though.

Because Novogorsk is the main training center for most of the elite athletes and national teams of Russia in many different disciplines also the facilities and surroundings there might be inspiring for him if he wants to look around. It´s also possible to find accommodation close to the rink for sure.

Put it this way: if I were Shoma, I'd wanna test out my #1 option first. If it works out, awesome, if not, then let's see what else is out there. For the sake of time alone, I wouldn't wanna be exploring Plan B's before finding out that Plan A didn't work... Though other commitments and timing of the camps can also play a role.

Honestly, I think Eteri just might be good for him. Seeing that he's getting choreo elsewhere, Team Tutberidze can focus on his consistency and technique, which is where he really needs the help. Being in a super competitive environment yet not with your DIRECT competitors could be good. I would have loved to see him at TCC, but continuing to play second fiddle to Yuzu can't be ideal. Also, Nathan is Raf's "baby" and will always be his emotional favorite, so that again leaves Shoma as #2.

Interesting times ahead for sure, and whatever happens, I CANNOT WAIT for Shoma to go out there next season and just totally be ON FIRE.

It's been quite an amazing 3 days in Korea for Shoma <3 It's surreal to think that when his ATS appearance is announced, I thought it would be the most unexpected thing he'll be doing this off-season, sharing the ice with Kim Yuna on her ice show. Amazing photos and videos are all over Twitter, hopefully enough to tide until the next update! That's going to be fun to look out for though. Will the 3A be the next ones sharing Shoma's photos on their social media? XDD

Honestly, I'm getting spoiled with going to bed and waking up to all the wonderful content that is posted! :laugh: With these photos I'm seeing, it sure seems this is one of the happiest casts I have ever seen! The whole show had a great vibe to it. And the audiences seemed to go crazy for Shoma. Thank you to Queen Yuna for giving Sho this opportunity! I wonder if Yuna invited Shoma when they were at David Wilson's getting choreo. Weren't they there at the same time last summer?

Hercules Cong would definitely be up to the challenge, but first he has to get Shoma away from Morgan!!! They were having WAY too much fun! :laugh2: Definitely a highlight.

I really enjoyed the translations done by evamomomomo on Twitter. Apparently these are some of the descriptions the Korean press is giving of Shoma. Sounds like the press may possibly have Shomatitis!:love:

8. What warhorse (overused song) would you want to see Shoma perform to?

I scrolled through a few threads where people list the commonly used tracks, and I am not sure. Maybe Umbrellas of Cherbourg. I did not see Polovetsian Dances on that list, but I would love that or Bohemian Rhapsody.... :)

So many pictures and videos! I LOVED both his performances. Missed a few bits of choreo in Great Spirits, but the commitment and energy was unparalleled. Time After Time was beautiful! He hit everything and was really into the performance. I was mesmerized by it. (And of course, he shoomed some audience members with the "come hither" hand at the end!)
