Good questions. If KR is healthy, I wouldn't want to be in Skate Canada's shoes making this tough call. Would be great to see both men in the GP series.

Hope he will recover soon. Apparently Liam was able to go camping in the mountains this weekend, seemingly a good sign that the injury is not too bad??

It's crazy that Canadians already have the warm up groups out. I guess we can't be that lucky with U.S. Nationals, can we?

I believe the Canadian men have two spots for Worlds and three spots for 4CCs, correct? Hopefully Liam can get at least third and go to Taipei!

Correct. Liam has his work cut out for him, but not unthinkable (IMO) for him to make the podium at Nats :yay:.

Best of luck to Liam this week at Nationals! Has Canadian Nationals always been the same week as U.S. Nationals? I always thought that Canadian Nationals was a week or two earlier. I wonder if Christy or Damon will travel with Liam and which (or both) one will travel with their skaters to U.S. Nationals.

IIRC re last year:

Christy went to Canadian Nats with Liam. 99% sure that she was with Liam for both his SP and FS.

Damon was with Josh for the US Men's SP.
But the Canadian Men's FS must have taken place before the US Men's FS ... b/c both Christy and Damon were with Josh for his FS.

HOORAY! Liam won silver at Canadian Nationals! Here is a podium picture of Liam with Patrick Chan & Kevin Reynolds.

I was hoping that Liam would place high enough to at least get to go to 4CCs, but I guess he is going to get to go to Worlds too! :yahoo:

Not necessarily. He will very likely go to 4CC (and he deserves to!), but getting silver doesn't mean he'll go to Worlds. The Fed can decide to send Kevin or Nam instead.
But we'll know soon enough.

And now we know that Liam officially is going to both Four Continents and Worlds :dance2:, per the Skate Canada announcement. Very excited for him.
