Hope the judges are nice with Esigmann? who I have never heard of and is skating for love of the sport, and will not win the money in this field.

TSL has Ricky/Rick/Richard/Best Friend and Max's SP up

No idea if more will show up. I kinda hope Matthew's does. And I think we should fill it with likes and positive comments. Good for him for helping to keep the competition going, and I would love to give him some of our love.

golden411 Thanks for the link. So the doubles make sense (and I don't mind the rule for this one. But I wonder about the quad penalty. Maybe they are just using last season's rules for ease.

The ladies competition looks interesting, according to the live results. Apparently right now Mirai is 3rd with 57.76 points, Angela Wang is 2nd with 59.34 points, and Maria Yang is 1st with 59.75 points. Still several skaters left to go, but I'm very surprised to see someone other than Mirai or Angela in the top 2. Anyone know anything about Yang?

Max looked good. My eyebrows went right up when I had seen he fell on the quad, but it was more of a "fall" than a proper fall. I was also surprised to see they'd shortened or taken out that elegant pause in the step sequence, but maybe he was just off his music from the "fall".

Hope there's video of Black Swan tomorrow.

Interesting to note Mirai is still in third but her score actually has gone up by .7 points so now she's at 58.46. I wonder what the scoring discrepancy was.

Looks like Mirai tried for a triple axel again and it got down graded. Ouch.

She fell on it too, so it was probably quite a poor attempt. On the positive side, she did the 3-3 and the solo triple in the bonus and got them both ratified. Probably a turn-out on the toe.
