Betina and Yuri are very talented. I really wish Russia had good choreographers willing to work with their junior ice dancers rather than trash talking their senior pairs in the press. The music made me cringe at times. Honestly their dancers should just boycott control rentals because Russian specialists seem to be devoid of good taste and plain common sense.
But major props for Igor, his pairs show great promise. He's a technical whiz. With Fabian I expect great success from his stables in the near future.

Idk, I'm a fan and they were my faves here, but there's something off with that free dance. Can't put my finger on it, but I don't think it does them many favours. And their performance appeared a bit forced at times. I didn't see the 3rd place pair so can't say if they were better or worse than C/P.

I agree their FD wasn't maybe so great but I saw Russians who placed 3rd and didn't really liked it. Don't know so much about the technique, but the dance was just weird with a weird music cuts and I found nothing in it. But it is just my feeling, maybe I'm wrong. Anyway C/P are very promising couple and they can succeed under Igor.
