The broadcast network NBC will have some coverage, plus the cable network NBCSN will have some coverage.

Details are on the FAQ page of the Skate America website.

ETA:

To be specific (all times Eastern, check local listings, subject to change):
- NBC from 5-6 p.m. EST on Saturday, October 24
and
- NBCSN from 10-11:30 p.m. EST on Sunday, October 25.

The NBC coverage on Saturday was previously billed as live coverage.

So NBC presumably will have live coverage of the second (final) group of the Ladies FS.

The entire Ladies FS runs from 3:00 - 4:51 pm local (Central) time:

icenetwork is streaming only the first group of the Ladies FS, beginning at 4:00 pm ET.

BTW, the spelling mistakes in the NBC tv listing are demoralizing, IMO:
5:00pm Figure Skating
Skate America, a Grand Prix event in Milwaukee. Expected contenders include Julia Lipniskaia, Gracie Gold, Satoko Miyahara, Jason Brown and Dennis Ten.

Also, for those who still watch Universal Sports, most of the NBC and NBCSN broadcasts are repeated on Universal within 24 hours. I get Universal but I don't get NBCSN.

FWIW and IIRC, Universal Sports did not have any coverage of 2014 Skate America -- the only GP that it did not show last year.

ETA (on Oct 21) ... but now I see what AHB means:

You can watch the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating: Skate America from Milwaukee on Universal Sports Network Sunday, October 25 at 3:00 PM ET.

Don't we all!

Don't worry, I am intending to do my normal Eurosport Schedule and Livestream posts this season again. But, as I said in the thread in The Edge, there is no point doing it yet, as the Eurosport schedules change so often.

Please be warned, Eurosport are NOT showing any LIVE coverage of Skate America. :disapp:

HOWEVER, unless the schedules change between now and then, they WILL be showing LIVE coverage of Skate Canada... :cheer:

Well, it’s that time of year again when I start posting Eurosport TV Schedules.

Unfortunately, there is an U-17 World Cup on in Chile at the moment and, as always, football takes priority. Consequently, there is NO LIVE coverage of Skate America. :disapp:

HOWEVER, there will be 1 hour programmes for each segment.

But, as always, there are regional variations.

In Germany, the Pairs Free will NOT be shown on Sunday morning (or, it appears, at all  ), due to LIVE MotoGP coverage

Viewers in France should note that a lot of the coverage will be shown on Eurosport 1 rather than Eurosport 2. As part of this switching to ESP1, the coverage of the Ladies, Dance, and Men’s Frees on Sunday morning will be on half an hour later than they are for the rest of the continent. Plus, there will be no repeats of the Men’s and Ladies Frees on Sunday evening due to LIVE Tennis.

Finally, as usual, British Eurosport is completely different due to us having rights to different sports to our continental counterparts. Firstly, we have highlights of the Pairs, Ladies and Men’s Frees from Worlds being shown on Friday afternoon. HOWEVER, we do not have ANY coverage of the Skate America Short Dance :bang:

Also, we do not have the 2 hours of coverage of the Gala that the continent is getting on Monday morning, due to LIVE cricket. :rolleye: We might get the 1h 30m version first thing on Wednesday morning, but the website schedule doesn’t have a proper description of that programme, and the Sky EPG doesn’t yet go that far into the future.

EDIT (23[SUP]rd[/SUP] October): Just checked the Sky EPG, and it IS the Gala that is being shown on Wednesday morning.

Right, this is going to be the most complicated schedule of the season to follow, because Europe leaves Daylight Savings Time at 01:00 GMT on Sunday 25[SUP]th[/SUP] October. So, Friday’s and Saturday’s schedules are in Daylight Savings Time, while Sunday’s schedule is back to normal time.

I have tried to make this as easy to follow as possible. So, apologies if I have not been as successful as I desired to be!

Love your work, CaroLiza!

And of course for the week in between Sunday morning and the Sunday morning after, us Europeans get the added fun of having to subtract another hour from all skating schedules from Skate Canada. :drama: Why can't the world just stick to one DST, or if that's not possible, at least all countries that participate, change the same weekend? :-/

Do we know if Sportbox.ru is going to be airing it again? I started poking around but had no luck... then again i don't speak or read any Russian... so my word does not mean much.

:points: to that suggestion!

It is so hard to keep track of time zones at the best of times, without countries changing to Daylight Savings Time at different times.

At least the dates are standardised across Europe.

And at least all of Europe uses it (well, apart from Belarus and Russia). For the rest of the world, I haven't a clue as to who uses DST and who doesn't! And it keeps changing!

But, what really confuses me are these in-between time zones, e.g. India and (as of a few moths ago) North Korea.

All I can say is thank goodness there are no skating competitions in any of those countries!

No SD coverage on British Eurosport? That would be too bad :( I like their commentary.

No sportbox at least for SA. May be later? In Russia they will air SA live on NTV-plus Sport channel only. The package costs $30 through March. I guess I am going to buy.

My spelling is atroshious, for sure, but I do try and get names right. I do find it interesting that that someone somewhere has to translate names from a different language using different written characters....and have that translating stick....
Like "Milwaukee" The word "Milwaukee" may come from the Potawatomi language minwaking, or Ojibwe language ominowakiing, "Gathering place [by the water]".[11][12] Early explorers called the Milwaukee River and surrounding lands various names: Melleorki, Milwacky, Mahn-a-waukie, Milwarck, and Milwaucki. For many years, printed records gave the name as "Milwaukie".

Here's a quick little history lesson about Milwaukee, it's quite fascinating:

Does 1 hour coverage of a free mean they will show only 1 group?

I'm not sure anybody here is certain what the coverage will look like.

If the past is any indication, I assume NBC's coverage will not be continuously live, and will be sprinkled with tape-delayed highlights.

I'm just speculating, though.

Do I recall correctly that for previous Denis Ten comps, streaming via Kazakhstan has worked well for some GS members?

In any case, someone has tweeted Kazakhstan-based streaming links. Disclaimer: I do not know whether they will work. But I'm posting today's tweet here in case anyone would like to give the links a try.

Does 1 hour coverage of a free mean they will show only 1 group?

My two cents re NBC:

My hunch (only a hunch) is that NBC's live coverage will be the second/final group of the Ladies FS -- continuously and in entirety, more or less.
(Perhaps with tape [highlights or otherwise] of any U.S. lady who does not make the final group??)

Part of my reasoning is that IN is streaming only the first group of the Ladies FS.
