The famous Cross-Dressing Yamato Tamura! https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/736x/46/d8/17/46d817c0b974c453883fe540ac597675.jpg He's the BEST! :cheer: Yuna-chan was amazing! Came out of no where this year. Good for her. I hope she can sail under the radar a bit more before the media jumps on her. Gambare!

Yeah, she's wonderful. Before the season I didn't notice her so much.
She's lovely. Other than her jump technics, I like her refined arm movement! I expect her future! Gamba!:cheer2:

What a wonderful surprise! Yuna Shiraiwa really came alive in her performances in Spain. She has such wonderfully smooth and lyrical movements and skating skills with marvelous musicality, graceful lines, extensions and steps and such charming expression, but she is tough beneath the surface. Her jumps were also aesthetically pleasing with unusual combinations such as the 3S / 3L. She also has a nice Biellman. I can't believe she is only 13.

She was such a pleasant surprise for this season! I agree, I also love her unusual jump combos. Not only that, but she has such a joyful, happy expression and presentation on ice. It's refreshing to see her skate to more happier music such as her SP, considering how almost everyone else in the junior field rushes into more mature, difficult song pieces almost immediately into their debut.

I really hope the Japanese media lays off her back though. She is probably going to be an overnight sensation in Japan after winning both her JGP assignments in her first season...and it also doesn't help that her name has an uncanny resemblance to you know who....

^^Indeed, I was super wowed by that combo, when I first saw it on her first jgp warm-up. it and along with some other hints lead me to predict her first jgp win! BTW The retired Yuna_aaaaa had done a 3S-2lo before in practice.:p

Yuna is currently sixth at 2015 Japanese Nationals with a score of 61.92 (35.49, 26.43)

She was the very first skater and remained in first place even after three groups of skaters!

Yuna did a clean skate at YOG and is in 1st in SP! 60.87 (35.44,25.43)

IMO low PCS, so she'll probably need to have perfect TES to beat Tsurskaya tomorrow.

I'm so happy for her, she's so lovely. I hope she'll skate a clean free program, no matter the outcome.

Yuna has been so solid this season! And I think she's been a touch underscored in some comps and when I first saw her score come here I thought the same, I even thought she might end up out of the top 3 after the SP but then everything else happened and she's in the lead! I really hope she does well tomorrow too.
