Was wondering where all the WISA junior teams were (besides McNamara/Carpenter and Parsons/Parsons with their byes) and then saw on Sylvia's Sectionals page that they're all spread out this year.

I always wonder how they are able to move around Sections so easily.

They change their club affiliation. Typically, one member of a team picks a club in one section and the other in a different one. If they originally come from different clubs in different sections, they retain those affiliations.

Jane Jones (SC of NY) and John Doe (All Year FSC) can choose to compete either in Easterns or Pacifics.

I knew they changed their club affiliations. Sometimes it seems odd though, when some of them don't have an apparent connection to the other section. Like Lorraine is registered under Peninsula SC (in San Jose, CA) but was born in DC and lives/trains in Maryland.

I wonder what the rules are regarding club affiliations, since I feel like some disciplines at certain Regionals/Sectionals are always lower scoring than others. I'd think there'd be more affiliation changing than there is.
