Icenetwork has finally fixed their Schedule

Now that Universal Sports has bit the dust, you can find figure skating on Universal HD. :thumbsup: I already see listings for Rostelecom Cup next weekend:

8:00 - 9:00 PM EST, Sat. 11/21
9:00 - 10:00 PM EST, Sat. 11/21

I had to call my cable provider (DirecTV) to have it added for me (free for 3 months & then I have to pay $4 more); channel UHD. Seems to have a lot of movies, but is listing both CoR and NHK times.

I’m afraid that we do not have good coverage of the Cup of Russia on Eurosport this week.

The only LIVE coverage that most viewers of Eurosport are getting on the TV channels is for the Ladies SP, the Free Dance and the Men’s FS!

There is NO coverage whatsoever of the Short Dance, Men’s SP or Pairs SP on the TV channels. But there ARE highlights of the Ladies FS, Pairs FS and the Gala.

I say “most versions” for a reason, though. Because Eurosport Deutschland and British Eurosport have significant differences to the other versions

Apologies to our German members, but your Eurosport is NOT showing ANY of the Short Programmes. When everybody else is getting the Ladies SP, you are getting LIVE football!

On the other hand, British Eurosport, are showing ALL of the Short Programmes, as well as ALL of the Free Programmes!!!

Normally, I would go through the different versions and describe what the differences are. But, every version is showing things at different times this week, and it would take up too much time and space to describe everything. So, if you are in a country that has it’s own version of Eurosport, I will instead advise you to look at your local listings.

I really hope this is not the case, but it seems like “The New Eurosport” has each version diverging even further from the “default” Eurosport International schedule. Which is the exact opposite of what we wanted! We wanted then to stick to the default schedule more!

Unfortunately for those that like no commentary, there is no ISU channel on the British Eurosport Player this week. And I am having difficulty accessing the othe Eurosport Players at the moment to check if they have an ISU channel.

Boooooo! Hissssssssssss!

I like the ISU channel in the Player... not because it has no commentary, but because it simply shows more stuff (eg. warmups, medals, etc)... and I like to switch to that when the regular channel is showing adverts

Russian web-site sportbox.ru will be streaming short programms, free programms and exhibitons again! And it looks like Tarasova will be commenting This is awesome they started to actually invite competent commentators.

And you know what else we don't get? The ISU channel! :furious:Why the heck does that channel only show up every other week and why does it NOT show up when there's NO TV coverage?? I've already sent them a royally pissed email and I'm going to send it another fifty dozen times until I get an answer. I'm going back to illegal streams and a good ad blocker, they can put their subscription some place where the sun doesn't shine.

Tarasova is fun to listen to. My only complaint is that she keeps talking while skaters perform. That detracts from the enjoyment.

Are we 100% sure that these are the correct Eastern time zone conversion?

CBC sports in Canada is saying the Free Dance is starting at 6am and not 5am... Wondering if perhaps icenetwork has not factored in the time change?

Just want to double check so I don't miss an event!

IceNetwork's event times are all an hour off.

Doris made note of the difference in IN's schedule, in one of the event threads.

The schedule states the FD is at 3 p.m., Moscow time. According to the time zone convertor, Moscow is 8 hours ahead, so that actually would be 7 a.m. EST.

ETA: I guess it's still an hour off from IN, LOL.

I am assuming that at some point IN will fix their times.

I am already having a very bad day, but this takes the cake. I had completely forgotten that the ISU stream was not a given. I have to renew my subscription for the Eurosport app for another month before Saturday (Friday is still included), but if the stream isn't available, fat lot of good a subscription is gonna do me.
I doubt it'd help if I started spamming them with e-mails, I never got a reply from them re: rewinding in the Apple store app, either. But I suppose it's worth a shot...

I don't actually get the stream yes/no thing, at all. Looking at the listings in the app right now, I count, believe it or not, sixteen (!!!) streams, incuding 6 x League 1, whatever that is (soccer, probably, I mean, isn't it ever?!). Why can't they add a seventeenth for the figure skating, geez.

BTW, Tanith, Tara, Johnny are the NBC team for Rostelecom. (Same as TEB. No Terry.)

Interesting that today's NBC press release has reverted to identifying Tanith as Tanith Belbin, although she calls herself Tanith White.

Also interesting, as with CoC, my local listings are showing infomercials on NBC from 12:00-1:30 PM EST instead of Rostelecom. :sad4:

Although it appears Rostelecom can be accessed on the internet via the NBC Sports Live Extra app, I am growing increasingly disturbed at the trend here of pushing figure skating off the television and onto the internet.

(Silver lining: CBC & Universal HD will be showing a combined total of 8 hours of figure skating this weekend.)

One last thought: the Universal HD website shows a listing for 'ISU GP of Figure Skating Russia' on Friday, November 27th from 4:00-5:30PM EST. Not sure if this is a re-airing of NBC's broadcast, or a rerun of Universal HD's own coverage from the previous weekend.
