Junior Ladies SP

unofficial results
http://deep-edge.net/rs/nc2015/natj_JLsp.html

1 Wakaba Higuchi 66.83 3Lz3T 3F 2A all second half
2 Yuna Shiraiwa 62.77 3F 3Lz3T 2A
3 Rika Kihira 53.38 3Lz3T 3F stepout 2A
....
6 Mai Mihara 49.08 3Lz fall 2A 3F

It's nice to see Wakaba land all her jumps. Looks like she didn't get an edge call on the flip since she scored 66. It's a shame Marin popped her axel, she usually doesn't do very well in the SP at juniors nationals for some reason.

Just checked the results Aoki Yuna scored 52.92, wonder if she popped something too. :scratch3: Hope there will be somevideoes later ...

Yuna popped the 3L in combination. It is reported on twitter that she landed maybe 2 3lz-3L cleanly in practice. Too bad about that....

what happened to koshiro? So low score!:(

Koshiro never does very well in the SP, hopefully he'll do well in the FS.

I reeeeeally hope Yuna does well in the FS. At least Marin has the fact that she did well on the JGP going for her, YunaA doesn't really have anything so I hope she's able to pull up. I'm so happy for Wakaba, I love her and I wanted her to do well here so I hope she's able to hold on to that lead for tomorrow. Yay for YunaS too, I won't lie even after her first JGP I didn't expect her to have so much success this year but boy she proved me wrong and she certainly deserves a spot at jr worlds. I can't wait to see videos.

Honda and Aoki seem to be skaters without a solid consistency, :scratch2: but in FS they might do better than SP.
I guess Higuchi recovers from her injury. Good for her. Her dropout from Junior GPF might've been a strong motivation for her goal.

I wonder which junior skaters will qualify for Sr Nationals. How is that chosen?

IIRC, it was top 6 from Junior Nationals who got invited to Sr. Nationals, but excluding Novice skaters (such as Marin and Yuna A. were in top 6 of Jr. Nationals last year but not in Sr. Nationals)

Only Wakaba is for sure to be in the Senior Nationals this year, and that was given by her podium finish from last National (she was in 3rd.). But we also don't know how Wakaba's bye and direct entry to Sr. Nationals will effect the number of final entries to be included in Sr. Nationals.
