Definitely missing this with no option to catch up until late tonight.

Good luck Brendan - please, believe in yourself and your jumps! Make it like Skate America or better! :clapper:

Just realized: if Yuzuru matched his PB in the FS (194), he would be the first skater ever to break 300.

I'm still keeping my expectations low. Yuzu has not ever done 2 clean programs back-to-back. I'm not expecting ANYTHING!! (anti-jinx) :hopelessness:

Well, extreme positivity always works to jinx people. (Ever wonder why people get mysterious deductions they didn't deserve? #PositivePower!) So I suppose harping on the "he could break 300!" thing would jinx him...

LOL, I don't think it's possible to jinx someone, but you never know.

Neither do I. But sports tends to bring it out of me. -Superstition, vodoo, jinxing.
Sports men and women tend to be superstitious too.

A little for me too, as I seem to be a 2nd-place jinx when I'm watching live skating: at Nationals, three of my faves who I wanted to win (Gracie, Shibs, and D/F) came in 2nd, and at SA, more favorites (Gracie, Shoma, S/K) got silvers. Scary.

And when I watch competition reality shows, my favorite competitor always comes in second. (After five seasons of The Great Food Truck Race, my favorite team won this season, so maybe it's breaking? IDK, but it's weird. :laugh2:)

My younger sister's the bigger fan, I just like the competitions.

Same. I don't watch the actual cooking ones...those bore me. Just the competitions. (Worst Cooks in America is also great. The people on it almost set the kitchen on fire at least eight times a season and it is fantastic. :hijacked:)

Worst Cooks In America helps improve my self-esteem. Reading bad writing does that too.

And you're helping me keep awake, which is good. :)

That episode in the 2012 season where they had to flambé was the GREATEST THING EVER. :laugh2:
And this year a lady thought a prune was a date. :slink:

I think there was an episode where someone didn't know what the cooking utensils were called, one where they had to outrace a Chinese delivery man, and one where someone kept drinking alcohol...
