Here is the thread where you can make your predictions for the French Championships.

Entries/Results Page:
http://resultats.csndg.org/Elite_2015/index.htm

The competitions start on 17[SUP]th[/SUP] December 2015 at 14:50 CET (13:50 GMT) with the Ladies SP.

So, the target time to get your predictions in is 1 hour before that, i.e. 13:50 CET (12:50 GMT)

But, we will be accepting predictions for each category right up to the start of that category's Short Programme.

If you need any help working out what time this is where you are, here is the Time Converter that Mrs. P has been very kindly directing us to the past couple of years.

Please Note: Lola ESBRAT and Andrei NOVOSELOV are a very new couple, and so do not have an ISU Bio yet. For Andrei, I linked to the Bio for his most recent (albeit short-lived) partnership with Daria Popova. This is Lola's first pairs partnership. So, rather than leave her with nothing, I have linked to her Singles Bio.

EDIT: Here are the Bios I have used for couples that have changed partners since they last competed internationally.

Pairs

Andrei NOVOSELOV (with Daria POPOVA for FRA)

Let the fun begin!!!

Thank you for the info. I'll update the Original Post now.

Any word of an Entries / Results Page? I've had a hoke around the FFSG website, and can't find any links to one.

Oh well, I'll just have to base my predictions on the original entry lists that were put out weeks ago! :rolleye: :drama:

So you can understand why I am very grateful for your updates, machin!  :points:

Here :)

Usually the CSN (Commission Sportive Nationale) site is more accurate than FFSG one : https://sites.google.com/site/csnpatinage/saison-2015-2016/competitions

Thank you!!! :thank:

I'll add the link and the start lists to the Original Post in a moment.

And in case anybody is wondering, I would have had this up shortly after my previous post. But my internet died on me, and didn't start working again until there now. :bang:

As soon as I saw the entry list for the Ladies, I knew who I was going to put in my Top 5, and in what order.

For the podium positions, I am going slightly against the grain. I am backing Laurine to win. This girl has just impressed me so much over the past couple of years. And, let’s be blunt, Maé-Bérénice has been rather disappointing so far this season.

Nadjma is another girl that has really impressed me this season. But, I don’t think she is quite ready to challenge either Maé-Bérénice or Laurine. Give her a couple of years, though, and she’ll be there!

However, it turned out that one of the skaters I was not too familiar with (Julie Froetscher) actually has higher ISU PB’s than the girls that I was going to put 3rd (Nadjma Mahamoud), 4th (Pauline Wanner) and 5th (Alizée Crozet). But, she was behind them in last year’s French Championships. So, I decided to stick with my original order, and put Froetscher as my alternate.

As with the Men, so with the Ladies. I knew who I was going to put in my Top 5, and in what order. Even when one of them (Aymoz) withdrew and was replaced (by Tesson), it didn’t cause any upheaval. It was just a straight swap.

I would love to see Florent become the French Champion again in his swansong year. But, being realistic, I can’t see it happening. Not with Chafik also there.

The question is, which way around to put Florent and Romain? Romain’s SB (from the Master’s de Patinage) was only 3 points behind Florent’s SB from the Nebelhorn. But, significantly, they were both competing at the Master’s de Patinage, and whereas Florent got the bronze medal, Romain got the gold.

For that matter Simon Hocquaux won the silver at the Master’s de Patinage. But, I would feel guilty about pushing Amodio off the podium completely.

In Pairs, we know fine well who is going to win. But, it is the other 2 couples that caused problems. Because, there is not a lot to go on either of them.

As far as I can find out, the only competition that Lola Esbrat and Andrei Novoselov have entered was the Master’s de Patinage. But, they withdrew after the SP. HOWEVER, they were ahead of Camille Mendoza and Pavel Kovalev in that SP.

On the other hand, Mendoza and Kovalev were third at both the Coupe de Nice and the Lombardia Trophy.

But, you know what. I think I’ll take a chance on Esbrat and Novoselov. Novoselov has had some good partners in his time (Danilova, Novik, Popova), and this is bound to have rubbed off on him.

I kept the PB order for Dance. But, I was surprised to find that Jean-Denis SANCHIS and his competition partner were at the bottom of the list. If he had been with his show partner (Aleksander Liubchenko), I would have put him on the podium! Because they are brilliant together!!!

Well spotted. :agree:

In fact, when I went back to the post, I spotted that I hadn't made any of the changes to the list that I said I had! :drama:

And I had only pushed Amodio down to silver in the Men instead of bronze!

So, thank you very much!!! :thank:

I will have to be more careful with checking my prediction lists before I post them...!

Correct.

And that is why I hate giving anybody the Pairs to score in the Nationals Game. Because unless it is Russia, America or Canada, there are very few entries to the competitions.

Well, you got in 15 minutes before the Men's SP started, so you're fine!

This is where my rules differ to the GP Game rules. Although my Games have a target time of 1 hour before the start of the first SP, I will still accept predictions for each category right up to the start of that category's SP.

And taking advantage of that rule has killed my chances in the Italian Men's Championships! Because I had the guy who is going to win in 1st, but then swapped him into 2nd place at the last minute! :bang:

Don't worry, I understand. And I feel bad for the Pairs scorers at this stage of the Nationals Predictions Game every year.

If it makes you feel any better, if the Pairs scorers from the Nationals Game stay on for the ISU Championships Game, I normally make sure to give them a Singles category to make up for it.

It is a real shame that the Pairs competitions get such low entries nowadays, because I really like Pairs. In fact, I always preferred it to Ice Dance.

I wish more people would take up Pairs skating...
