This program, in terms of score, is EXTREMELY underrated. I am still astounded that this program did not receive at least 140. #sickjudges

Her 3A combo had a downgrade and negative grade of execution which left nearly 5 points on the table alone. Also her 3F combo got a 0 grad of execution. Alomst a total of 10 + points left on the table because of the quality of those 2 jumps if you would factor in if she would of had a positive GOE.

Wow, lots of good ones already. I'll just put a couple of favorites here.

Ryan Jahnke's QR free from 2003 Worlds https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kh0RR-wdh98
Stephanie Rosenthal's free from 2006 Nationals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZMwXYdkSK4g
Ann Patrice McDonough's free from 2003 Nationals https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gapmSpBS9Wg
Savchenko & Szolkowy's short from 2005 Skate Canada https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNwTfaOyRzA
Sinead & John Kerr free from 2010 Europeans https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K39tA_8zjXQ
Yukina Ota's SP from 2003 Skate Canada https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0LvJxsA88A

I loved Stephanie Rosenthal's programs at Nationals. I think Uncle Dick liked her because she had a great dance ability and IMO great costuming. What ever happened to her?? I wonder if she's doing shows somewhere?

That was a fantastic program. I could swear someone else had used that music but, I can't remember who.

It's on it's way to being a warhorse, so a couple of skaters have used it. The most memorable use for me has to be Ina & Zimmerman in SLC 2002. Also I just really like posting videos of John Zimmerman. Yum.

That's it!!! Thank you for posting that clip. Talk about having beautiful children.......I remember seeing his wife Sylvia Fontana at Worlds in 2001. She is striking in person. Their kids, should they decide to have them, are going to be gorgeous.

Midori Ito, 1992 Olympics SP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvDz0Up_J_k
The team seemed hellbent on picking classical music to underscore Midori's artistic progression, but they seemed to completely ignore that she needed pieces of music that would enhance her natural charisma and energy. Case in point: her long program that year (a mess, in my opinion). But her short was perfect - dramatic but high-energy with a big sound. Aside from the fall, the rest of the program was spot on. The speed and centering on the spins was especially great. That some argue that Tonya Harding should've placed higher than Midori here is ludicrous to me.

Yuka Sato, 1992 Olympics SP: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aJYgfLZLvXM
Loved the choreography, the edging, the attack in the loop. The footwork would be deemed too simple under today's code, but it is fast and fabulous. A very valid argument could be made that this deserved a top 5 placement.

It's Phantom, and not only that it's techno Phantom - but in this case two wrongs definitely make a right. Certainly all is forgiven when she busts out the disco before her step sequence.

The eurosport commentators repeatedly criticized Mao's ur calls, and repeatedly called her performances underscored at Worlds 2010 even saying that the issue of her underscoring should be addressed at the next meeting of the ISU. They also criticized the low base value of the triple axel.

Programs

Most all these programs are well known, but I think most of them (not all) are underrated in terms of scores and / or placements.

Mao's Nationals SP 2003 Light, elegant, athletic, ethereal and so incredibly emotional as if an angel had descended to earth and every motion and extension was a moving sculpture of perfection. The subtle knee bends at the end of each jump are marvelous. Nostalgic wonder for childhood innocence gone by.

Mao's Bells of Moscow at 4CCs and Worlds - quintessential desperation- elegant, flexible and dramatically beautiful spirals, incredible one handed Biellmann at the end- the peek a boo and mask like poses through the black glove in the arabesques and the silky smooth dancing in the step sequences with 2 triple axels. Consummate drama, artistry, athleticism and sultry elegance.

Mao's Sochi LP- This performance moved a mountain of emotion in me.

Thank you for posting that clip of my wife Maria. You can see in that program why she used to do so well artistically with the judges. PCS wise, she was really great to see in person. She was the biggest flirt when she skated and she knew how to make the judges look at her. During her SP in Helsinki, she flirted with the judges even when deep in the corner of the rink. This is the first time I ever saw Maria. Skate Canada in 1992

They probably aren't underrated, but definitely Boitano's Napoleon and Julia's Schindler's List are two of my best favorites of all time.

As far as an underrated routine, probably Mariah Bell's Titanic routine.

Inoue and Baldwin Olympics SP to Adagio by Albinoni 2006 Olympics

First 3A throw done in the any Olympics, and still the best one I have ever seen. Gorgeous matching lines in the SBS spins. About as nice a program as I have ever seen to Adagio. It only placed sixth.
