Eric tweeted yesterday that he was on the practice ice by himself, and it was a bit disconcerting. A shame that they had to WD, and a quick recovery to Meagan!:yay:

They're the type of team that competes whenever they can and they've skated through all sorts of conditions,

Hope Meagan gets well soon!

On another note, I wonder if D/R's withdrawal affects S/H's plans for the throw quad... I would like to see S/H try it as there is no pressure now and would be a good buildup to Worlds, but I also want Sui to be healthy... argh :drama:

any official news on D/R as the tweets don't confirm much to me... and the ISU website still has them in the order of skate. ISU is usually really quick to put the WD sign next to competitors having to withdraw

I hope they won't do it. There was news that Wenjing hit her head before 4CC and had problems with her retina (she still wanted to compete, which is why they're still here). It would be a good opportunity to do it, but their lead is substantial enough and I don't want to risk another injury...

4CCs and Euros both end up disappointing in the pairs comps, at least from an excitement point of view. Shame about the withdrawals from World medal contenders!

We'll just have to wait for S/H v. D/R v. S/K v. V/T at Worlds! It's going to be such an exciting field.
