Glad to see the international judges are acknowledging Jun Hwan's talent! It's his first big international competition ever, and he's receiving similar scores to the big dogs with a fall.

I didnt read all the predictions but it seems unanimous aliev would win. Maybe expectation was too much and pressure too great

His free program is so good so I expect he can recover. Predictions don't really mean much except they might tell us who will likely feel the most pressure.

Dima isn't too far behind, remember he singled like 3 jumps at the JGPF and still ended up with silver. Unless Sota unleashes a super free program, I still think Dima has got this in the bag.

I think Sota will probably win unless he bombs the FS, but Dmitri will likely still medal.

Sota has edge call on 3Lz, did that happen before?

He wasn't on the wrong edge here... though it kind of looked like it the first time I saw it...

I don't like how edge calls are done now... here what I would consider.

1. Front load most costs/benefits of having correct edges to the SP(maybe shifting BV).
2. I'd make tech panel decisions on edge calls appealable and reviewable between the SP and LP.
3. Those who want to do 2 flips/lutz in the LP must do it without a full edge call in the SP.
4. I'd make a wrong edge in the LP a minor slap on the wrist while an edge call in the SP would invalidate the whole element. I'm a bit annoyed with skaters with edge issues do it in the SP, don't really care that much when they're kind of forced to do the jump in the LP.
