Here's one for some of you hard-core historians to piece together:
Gold: One-time World champion who did not medal at the next, or any, Olympics.
Silver: Two-time Worlds silver medallist whose World title was still in the future.
Bronze: Future Olympic champion.

1- Would become a multiple-senior world champion
2- will eventually medal at the world championships (both would stand on the podium together)
