wow they just skated at YOG, wonder what happened :confused2: and there are no sub no eligible ones or Chinese Fed didnt bother to name any sub team again? such a shame considering they won 5 for past 6 years :drama:

From what I've read online in Chinese forums Zhao/Xie split right after YOG. The other team from JGP also split. The Chinese Fed didn't name anyone as substitute because there is no other team that is age eligible yet. Next season there should be another 2-3 pairs that will be age eligible.

one more question, i read on forum that there was junior pair who can do quad twist but forgot where they were mentioned, do you know who and if they will be at JGP?

That would be Sui/Yang. They will be age eligible next year, but this year in national competitions they didn't do the quad twist (they did a superb triple twist though). Sui grew considerably this year, so I'm hoping they didn't lose the quad and are playing conservative.

Really looking forward to the Pairs competition. Based on the preliminary entries, I would have been expecting a Russian clean sweep but now that A/S have sadly withdrawn through injury things have opened up. As things stand I would have M/M coming first (very impressive in Junior Nationals) followed by B/S and hopefully the Czechs rounding out the podium. I like the Ukrainians but I think it could be tough for them to make podium. I also like G/S but they are not competitive with the other four couples, probably 5th is the best they can get.

Most of all hopefully everyone skates to their best.
