I find it strange that ISU doesn't recognise Yuoth Olympics as an event where skaters can get ranking points for World Standing.

Yes.
I believe, YOG should be made equal to JrWorlds in ranking points, as OWG is equal to Worlds.

Few words about leaders.

195.28 Polina TSURSKAYA RUS - she is no doubt Junior No 1 of season. Excellent jumps, good all other, good stability. Her only competitor is herself, only her own mistakes may make her place lower than 1st.
186.80 Yuna SHIRAIWA JPN - some lack of stability, at JGP Final she was 5th with score 173.82. All depends on how will she skate.
186.38 Alisa FEDICHKINA RUS - very nice skating, but often mistakes in FS.
186.30 Maria SOTSKOVA RUS - relatively stable, but mistakes at YOG.
181.22 Marin HONDA JPN - nice and good, but unstable. If skates good, may pretend to medal.
178.56 Elizabet TURSYNBAEVA KAZ - good solid skating, but hardly may pretend to medal if others skate good. Too many strong competitors.
176.99 Angelina KUCHVALSKA LAT - nice skating, complicated jumping content with not so high GOE. Too many strong competitors for her to pretend to medal.
175.06 Wakaba HIGUCHI JPN - very talented skater, pretender to medal.
171.72 Tyler PIERCE USA - she progressed after Tallinn Trophy 2015, where she earned her Season Best. At US Championships she landed 3Lz+3T (in FS), made 7 triples in FS (at Tallinn Trophy - only 6 without 3+3 combo), but all her competiions were with falls. If skates good - may earn 14 spots to JGP next season for USA and even pretend to medal.
165.60 Diana NIKITINA LAT - good young skater, not pretending to very high place.
162.68 Anastasia GALUSTYAN ARM - complicated content, but multiple URs don't give her chance to really high results.
157.06 Viveca LINDFORS FIN - like Nikitina, good young skater, not pretending to very high place.
155.61 Amy LIN TPE - unstable.
150.65 Ivett TOTH HUN - very nice skating, solid SP, but multiple errors at FS.

Did Tyler Pierce change her LP music? That looks different from Nationals.

Tyler used Aranjuez earlier in the season but switched to Danse Macabre for nationals (a program she'd previously had). I don't know which she will skate at JWC.

Personally, I hope that Wakaba can challenge for a win (I know she's capable of it, but will she?) and either Marin or Alisa can medal (assuming Polina is a lock). However, it'll probably be Maria taking the third medal, whatever color it happens to be. Unfortunately, this is too early for me to catch, so I won't be able to watch it live, but good luck to all the peoples! :cheer:

Her ISU bio says Aranjuez. Her icenetwork bio says "Party Happening People" by Deee-Lite," which was the number Rohene choreographed for her.

She did Danse Macabre in a previous season for sure, but I don't recall her 2016 US Nats skate

Viveca Lindfors new personal and season's best 165.22 at the Nordics a week ago where she won silver.
It would be a great victory if she would be among the ten best, to get two skaters next year, etc. So different countries have different goals. It is so difficult to be among the ten bests. There are not only one but usually two or three Japanese, Russian and USA skaters and very little room for others.

Her official ISU PB is still 157.06 because ISU doesn't recognise scores scored at the Nordic Championships.

At US Nats-2016 Tyler Pirece's FS Music was Danse Macabre.

It's interesting will she try 3Lz+3T at SP. At US Nats-2016 she got better GOE for 3Lz+3T in FS, than for 3T+3T in SP. And fall from 3F(!) in FS, which she must jump in Junior SP.

Only GP, JGP, YOG, Challenger Series, ISU Championships results give Season Best and Personal Best.

Anyway, results may be better or worse at different competitions. So Season Best info doesn't mean that results of some particular competition will be strictly in order of Season Best.
