Since Ice Dance gold did not work out for USA, things are looking much better for US ladies (and possibly Russian pairs).

i hope so much in a bad free skate for Gracie, just to see if the inflation is so powerful to let her wins this, no matter what.

That starting order makes me believe they will push Ashley's scores so hard in order to avoid this case.

With Med helicoptering through her jumps  will Gracie need her Rippon lutz? Ashley is going to skate the FS of her life. Last in the event coming off her personal best SP. The sweep and emotion will carry her past some with more difficult programs.

1. Gold
2. Med.
3-. Wagner
4. Satayko
5. Pogo
6. Rad

I'm betting Pogo will make errors. Nagasu in top ten. Asada not. (Feel terrible for her - the judges didn't even like her PCS)

This starting order favours the american girls, especially Ashley. If Gracie fails to deliver...I think Ashley has a real chance. And her LP is very dramatic, high level. Perfect end for the night, it could be a magic moment a highlight. Anna is inconsistent that's true, but she also showed perfect LP's before, also in this season. I think she has a shot. Anna winning this WC would be absolutely awesome. The underdog beating them all. Any basevalue charts? I'm especially interested in Anna vs. Evgenia.

I think this is Gracie's to lose. I'm rooting for her and loved her short, but that score was hella high :scratch2: She's got built in room for a mistake.
My guess for the podium is 1. Gracie 2. Evgenia 3. Ashley.
I hope we can enjoy the same quality of skating that we did in the short---what a competition!

Daleman is kind of in a good but also bad spot! She has a group of ladies right behind her who have outscored her this season so she has to skate like she did in the short in order to stay in the top 10! I have a feeling Chartrand is going to come on strong in the free - she has a habit of doing a good free after a bad short. And I hope this spurs Daleman on to up her in the free. It worked at Nationals where they pushed each other - let's hope it works here.
Kind of funny that last year Daleman went in as the CAN champ and yet Chartrand out skated her at worlds - this year it looks like Daleman will come out on top.

What would be more shocking? If Ashley or Gracie goes clean or if they bomb? :dev2:

I'm terrified Gracie will bomb the free after crushing the short, just like WTT last season.

Gracie is likely a lot more focused and hungry for the title since there is a lot more to lose. There is a world title at stake and a competition in front of a home crowd. I hope her sports psychologist prepared her well for this.

While I hope Gracie performs to the best of her ability, I also really really really hope Diva Wagner and Pogo find a spot on the podium. I have a huge soft spot for the underdogs.

I usually have a soft spot for Evgenia, but now I just want Anna on the podium. On the days she does not fall on her stomach, she is Goddess. And she is just 17.
Sorry for Mao. I don't think she has a chance to podium. She is not passed by just one or two skaters, but many. Her jumps regressed so much.
