Elena Radionova-"Worth It"
Anna Pogorilaya-"Rise Like a Phoenix"
Shibs-"O"
Cappellini/Lanotte-"Dance of the Hours"
Virtue/Moir-"Stay" and "Everybody Dance Now" (There is a reason I watched the Olympics gala and that is all I remember of it )
Gracie Gold- "Maybe This Time" and "I Was Here"
Satoko Miyahara-"Let Her Go"
Pang/Tong-"I Dreamed a Dream"
Boyang Jin-"Technologic" :slink:

Also, I really liked the exhibition I/K did at the Olympics but I don't remember the song title. Other ex's I vaguely remember liking: someone (think it was either Marin Honda or Riona Kato) had an ex to "These Boots Were Made For Walking" that I loved at the 2014 NHK gala.

This jungle EX from Pechalat/Bourzat is one of my favorites, that I haven't seen mentioned in here yet. I love how Fabian defeats the evil plastic crocodile for Nathalie :D

Literally every single one of Mao's Gala programs turn out to become part of my favorites^^ I can't even pick one that I like best. Maybe Caprice at the Olympics...or Jupiter...or "Smile"... I really cannot pick xD

Wow totally awesome EX!

I mean can we ever beat this consume change?

The costume change is indeed epic , I'd rank it up there with Plushy's Assasi: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...fs For Use On Tumblr/AssassiCostumeChange.gif Took me a while to figure out how that costume even worked!

Speaking of Plushy I've always loved his Russian Dance - Crazy Bird ex - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8hjyJ1dClI (It's a long video, but totally worth it IMO!

Usually I don't watch exhibition skating as I prefer competitions. But I'm so glad I watched after Worlds 2016 or I would have missed the wonderful Cappellini & Lanotte's exhibition number. I couldn't stop laughing. They are a treasure and I hope they stay competitive (I still think their Carmen is the best ever--so Italiano and expressive!)

Plushy's exhibitions were always so great. Crazy Bird, Sex Bomb and Assisai are my favourites.

I also loved Cappellini and Lanotte's ex at Worlds

I like quirky exhibitions, unless they have some super-special meaning, like Jeremy's at US Nationals last year. Give us a bit of humour and fun!

(Though granted, I've probably watched the Skate America combo of Max's Thunderstruck/Black Betty more times than I'd care to admit... :slink:)

Try to imagine, if you can, a different kind of exhibition gala...

A popular skater, who did *not* medal, skates his exhibition to Pagliacci, well known, and the crowd goes wild.

He comes back on the ice and skates the step sequence to his beloved SP. The crowd goes wild.

He comes back on with more step sequences, spins, and even jumps from other programs. The crowd won't let him leave.

He come back a *4th* time and does five Russian splits. The crowd counts along with his jumps.

I don't know when exhibitions stopped having encores, but I don't know another skater who had three encores and four total skates....

Toller Cranston at 1975 Worlds: (home video, but that just gives you more of a sense of how the crowd reacted)

This is amazing! Really special!

NHK still do encores, if I'm not mistaken, and in my opinion they're the best part of any exhibition.
They just show how much the audience loves a particular skater/couple, and give you an indescribable feeling of how excited they are, and how they want more and more! Even if you're not in the audience, you feel the power and the energy, and you wish the performance never ended! Encores are pure bliss, in my opinion. Even better when they're not in the script, when there's a surprise extra performance from marvelous athletes. The skaters are always elated to make the viewers happy again, and the audience just doesn't want to let the skaters go. Ugh, I wish they had encores at every Worlds...

P.S. I never knew I could be this excited about encores

Mirai's demons exhibition made me feel something every time she skated it. It was so personal, and it was a beautiful and brave piece for her to skate given how personal it was.

Stephane Lambiel's Un Giorno Per Noi is the best exhibition number ever. It's simply a masterpiece. Just watch the way he moves, so much passion in every step and every little gesture. Since then I can't stand anyone skating to this song because I see him when I hear it. He was the song and he was the music. I love when the skater basically sings with entire body when he or she skates. That what Stephane did. I will love him forever for this.
