Russian Fed has announced the list of candidates for national team 2016-2017.

http://www.fsrussia.ru/news/2156-is...isok-kandidatov-v-sbornye-komandy-strany.html

What strikes me as a bit weird is that there are 10 men on the list but only 8 ladies. They could have included Sima on the list, she was 10th at nationals which is the same as Dmitriev who is on the list. Also, I wonder why Borisova/Sopot is on the list but Loboda/Drozd are not. Neither one will move to seniors though, so, doesn't matter if they are or aren't on the list but still.

Gotta Love Plushenko, he will be wheeled out at every Olympics.
Even with all the screws and bolts holding his body together, he will still be better than the other Russian men, lol!

This list includes the reserves as well. The main team will be much fewer in numbers.

This list doesn't include juniors (or it would be missing far more people).

Some skaters want to represent other countries. Below list is incomplete.

Kirill Khaliavin -> Spain. Monko/Khaliavin were 8th at the 2015 World Championships. They were also silver medalist at the 2015 Russian Championships. Apparently due to Ksenia's career ending injury Kirill plans to skate with Sara Hurtado representing Spain.
Moris Kvitelashvili -> Georgia
Nikol Gosviani -> Italy
Elizaveta Iushenko -> Israel
Georgi Reviya -> Georgia. I was wondering what happened to Konkina/Reviya, now I know. Does anyone know if Konkina already has a new partner?
Eva Khachaturian -> Georgia. Khachaturian/Bagin were 6th at the 2015 Russian Junior Championships.
Diana Davis -> Georgia. Eteri's daughter.

Russian ice dance strikes again... one of the few Russian junior ice dance couples that were eye catching...

Pair Elena Ivanova / Tahir Khakimov does not exist any more. She has paired up with Nikita Rakhmanin and they are training with Dmitriev. Here is a video of them: https://www.instagra.../p/BFqOB5DrXBL/
Besides, Elizaveta Zhuk / Egor Britkov are not age eligible (she is too young).

The link doesn't work but this one does.

Didn't know about their splitting up. Any idea about Khakimov's new partner?

Totally forgot that Zhuk wasn't eligible.

Has Gainedtinova found a partner? She would be still junior eligible for a year (as long as her partner would be).
