Paltrinieri - Detti (the brothers) won gold and bronze in 1500m!!! :hap93:
Paltrinieri said he really wanted the WR but Sun Yang, at that time, finished too fast while he has not a strong change in his pace.

there were less boos in 200 m breaststroke, the classless were also able to restrain themselves
Efimova flying under the radar during qualifying and semis was good strategy, Lily King oth failed to make the finals.

lily king is not a 200m breaststroker, she's more of a sprint

once again the US dominated swimming, just like in london. 16 golds and 33 overall!

To add emphasis to your point, I think that at Rio, only Ryan Murphy, who took gold in both men's backstroke events, managed to achieve a 100-200 double.

Given 8 possibilities, (back, breast, fly, free... for men and for women) it shows how difficult it is to double now in the days of specialization. There wasn't even a 50-100 free double.
