No.... Unfortunately this is not a Halloween stylization.... As a result of a horrible conditions of the ice, we had a very dangerous fall, which and up with what you may see....thanks God it's only Max's two fingers which are very bad catted...all is under control now, and he feels much better, but still need a few days off to recover!!

But of course we will not give up...we are strong enough to be ready for Cup of China next week!!!!

Please, keep your finger crossed and wish Max fast and full recovery!!!

feeling low at Lodowisko Tor-Tor.

That looks painful  I wish him a speedy recovery!!

I read that fortunately for Max, his tendons and nerves were not cut, but he can't train yet. There were very poor conditions at ice rink and they fell during training their FD StSq. There was danger, Natalia would cut off Max fingers, but she turned herself in time. I'm not sure they will be ready for CoC....

I hope they are not going to take risk and go if he is not recovered in full. It's not worth it

I'm relieved to learn that. It could have been worse... I don't know how long it will take to heal but I hope they don't rush it!

A quote from a new article:

(Google translate)
- After Sunday's rest, the next three days, spent a train at Beijing, during which we tried to correct all the mistakes we made in training and during take-off in China - says Sylwia Nowak - Trębacka, trainer couple.

- Max's fingers almost healed but still lacks full recovery of his left hand. Despite this, Japan would like to present two flawless programs and kidnap crazy to the point of skating, the Japanese audience to dance. And if we could at this point to improve our results, it already will be for us a great reward for the hard work and almost unmixed blessing - adds Natalia Kaliszek.
I'm glad to learn his fingers are almost healed :)

Natalia & Maks has won Mentor Cup with an awesome score of 168.76! :hap10:

SD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FC6yOl8n0NE 69.30
FD: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6k0sDm_CFA 99.46

Gala EX: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rDrISWqfTGI

Regardless if the scoring was inflated or not, both their dances seemed really improved since NHK Trophy and 4 Nationals Champs! :yay: I hope it means they will have their SB and PB at Europeans :hap10:

ETA: I didn't know there was prize money. They have won 1600 Euro, that is something! (ok, it will be tax deducted, but so was their prize from Cup of china) Now I understand why there usually are some good competitiors every year :) (+ the prize is actually higher for Pairs and Ice Dance teams, which is nice)
