^^ cannot see the post... maybe because i am not friends or following kirsten? or maybe she removed it... it could be kids you know? still not cool... I find figure skating so scary when something bad happens, especially in pairs, that yeah.... i don't understand why any mishap would be funny... sigh...

Ah, yes. I just saw that the privacy setting is set to "Kirsten's friends". Sorry about that.

That Facebook post was actually originally posted on her Twitter. So, you can read it on there, but it is without the replies that were posted to the Facebook version:

It was a tough day of competition for some. Something that from far away was heartbreaking to watch on Live Stream and To know others may have found it funny, makes it even more heartbreaking for this mom and coach. No skater(s) ever goes out to have a tough skate on purpose.

anyways... at first, when i read this, i thought maybe it was just kids... then i thought... omy.. i hope nothing happened like at nationals... so i went and they didn't skate the LP... so ... I have no idea which performance it was that provoked this but it's unfortunate.... oh well... immaturity

Nah. I was just lucky to send her a friend request years ago before she became mega famous.

Although, judging by her previous post (Twitter version), maybe she isn't that famous... :laugh:

I think it was somebody else's performance that she was talking about.

But that it happened at all really angers me. Like, can you imagine the damage being laughed at would do to somebody's confidence?!

Being booed at because of your nationality is bad enough. But, that can be shrugged off because it is not personal.

But actually being laughed at?! That's personal.

I just hope whoever it was can shrug it off and not get affected by it.

Or, even better, that they were so in the zone that they didn't notice!

Like some of the ones that replied, I am surprised that other skaters would do this. Like, they know what you have to go through just to get to a competition.

Kids nowadays... :disapp:

They are scheduled to compete in Thornhill this weekend. They announced their SD music earlier.

We'd also like to take this opportunity to announce our SD music for the upcoming season! We're very excited to be performing to a compilation of "Big Spender" and "Sing, Sing, Sing!"

I was watching Junior SD live stream and was very disappointed about some young men behaviors toward their partners in the kiss and cry.... The look they gave their partners .... oh my, if it was my son, I would stop skating lessons and show him the way to behave toward your partner... Kids nowadays....

And vice versa. Some of the girls were downright nasty to their partners during practice. You could hear them from the stands. But I guess perhaps sometimes the pressure of competition gets to them.

Atleast one of those young men got that attitude from his mom.

no idea... but in those summer events, it's common to do just the SP or just the LP... elladj didn't do his lp either

On a totally different note, during the Jr. Ice dance LP, someone fell over the railing and into the judges area. Rink was cleared for over an hour to deal with the situation!

That was a judge that was injured.

I didn't see it because of course my picture was frozen but someone who was there said it was a judge. I believe they suffered some broken bones but not sure.

Whoa is that what happened?? The stream went out and we had no idea what happened. Then everyone was back. Sorry to hear about this. Was it a fan that went over? Was everyone ok?
