50€ per day for a marginal event like this sounds like a folly, or a highway robbery rather, as if the choice of venue wasn't enough.
I definitely smell something extremely fishy from the organizers of this event :scowl:

Per day? Finlandia all event tix were only a bit over 50!

Believe it or not you read it correctly. Everyone is furious. You could go to a GP event for that price really. A ticket for the next Euros costs much less. There must be some personal interests involved behind it, also it is absurd to pick a venue which has only 3 rows of benches on ONE side for the spectators for an international event involving several top athletes, and the rink (the city of Bergamo for that matter) doesn't even have a proper practice rink. The rink is said to be built by a local millionaire who wanted a new rink for his granddaughter who skates, and probably the granddad pulled some strings, no consideration whatsover for the public, not to mention for the athletes. *sigh*

I wonder, do they get some info that there are many fans coming or something? And they smelled a chance to make some money? Otherwise I think many people who would've come, will resign and the arena will be empty.

In fact most of the fans I know in Italy are now talking about boicotting. But the absurd thing is that the rink, with only a capacity of 200+, would be mostly filled with the local skaters who train at this rink and their family, considering there is a Jr. event as well (I have no idea if they get a special discount or free pass). It could be that they decided to make a profit out of the few remaining space available, but this shows a total ignorance of the organizers, they could have seen the price they set was outrageous compared to the similar events, or even events of much bigger scale.

Perhaps they are deliberately trying to limit/discourage attendance. The capacity is only 200... and there are a LOT of top skaters attending. If the tickets were cheap, demand would far outstrip supply...

How sad it is that you have to pay 50 euros for a day and still you don't have numerated seat? :disapp:

A new 20-euro ticket is available as of Sep 2, I think??

I don't read Italian, but this page says that 20 euros is the cost of "Biglietto singolo gara."
(Whereas "Pass giornaliero" still costs 50 euros.)

Yeah you read correctly. The day passes remain at 50€. What they came up is that they will sell separate tickets for one competition for 20€ - I mean like "mens short" "Dance free" separately, because they will hold at least 3 different competitions in one day.

Seems Nicole Radjikova, Valtter Virtanen, Ivan Righini and Turkkila/Versluis disappeared from the list of entries at some point? I was looking forward to all of them...

Still an impressive list of competitors though.

Full schedule (updated as of Sep 5) for Sep 7 - Sep 11 practice sessions and competitions:

Some of the schedule is garbled, but the following bits are clear:
- Unofficial practices (no music) for seniors (except dance) start on Wed Sep 7. See link for specific times.
- The draw for all senior disciplines is at 19:45 on Sep 8. (Also for junior pairs and junior dance.)

I have checked the stream links and both videos seem to contain a message that the content has been removed or blocked. So will there be a stream, anyone knows anything?
