I hope not, but that seems like the only reasonable explanation for a last-minute no-show like that.
And this poor Swiss skater; after Zagitova and a no-show, that's gotta be a weird way to start your first JGP.

Unfortunately, a fall at the start meant it wasn't magnifico for Federica.
Switzerland badly needs a good ladies skater, since they all seem to retire by the time they're 19. But, since Federica is so young, she has plenty of time to develop and improve.
She looks so much older than 13, though.

The music has restarted and the poor girl doesn't know what to do.
This isn't right. They should let her start from the start.
