Thank you so much! I see, it's one of 'late' nationals.
But then how can they select skaters to compete Jr and Sr world? It's like a mystery..

Most of the South East Asia's Nationals are around the same time. Only the Philippines' is in November (I think). Vietnam had their first National back in December 2015. not sure what happened last year though since I have no longer live in the country.

They hardly have skaters with minimum scores for JWC or WC in the first place. I think the timing is suppose to be convenience for next season assignments.

BTW, I am really appreciate your coverages on Korean National and anything related to Korean skatings. Thank you so much!

Okay, now I understand perfectly (I think):thank: So I have to wait until spring to see Singapore skaters. And Vietnam nationals?! That must be really interesting to see unknown skaters do their best!!

And it`s not that hard working, so you`re welcome.;)

Wow, I've read recently that a Federation was created in Cambodia and hopes to join ISU, now Vietnam... :agree:

At the opposite part of the earth, the icelandic championships were in december. Results are here.

Julia Gretarsdottir was the only skater to compete in senior, but withdrew.

Interesting comment about the Cambodia thing up there. Obviously its pretty hard pressed to find ice rinks in the continent of Africa but does anyone know of any skaters the represent these countries? I did google it a bit and do see there are 3 skating rinks in South Africa and some in Kenya. Other than that I am not sure. Are there any skaters from there that compete?

South Africa has a federation and send skaters to the ISU events since the 1960s. It's more related to the english/afrikaneer part of the country, but we begin to see more skaters with african names (zulu? xhosa? I could not make the difference)

Morocco is the second and only african country member of ISU, since 2013... They have some moroccan skaters and some french skaters with moroccan roots.

I've heard some years ago Ivory Cost had an ice rink (maybe in a hotel?) but it was before the civil war...
Since I've not read anything about figure skating in an African country. It will depend on the economic development of some countries, because skating seems not to be as popular as in Asia, where skating is growing so fast!
