As a reference, I watched Artem Kovalev's performances at Nationals last season, my impression on him was like mini Kolyada! He had great SS with a fast speed and was able to relate to music. However, he was only placed at 14th  right behind Alexey Erokhov, another participant in this event. I haven't watched the competition, so can't judge how better the other competitors did than him, but he was amazing already. He would not be a medal contender, but I'm ready to enjoy his skate today!

Thank you for the tip! I appreciate the heads-up; sometimes there are so many participants that it all becomes a blur, so I really appreciate when I have some info/recommendations, it makes the viewing more interesting :)

Roman reminds me SO much of young Jason Brown

ETA: He's gotta stop popping though, I bet two years ago that he's going to end the Olympic drought for Canadian men!

Roman has matured into a young graceful gentleman, I like his soft and gentle skating

Sorry about the pop on 3A. Roman did pretty good job at a latest competition about two-three weeks ago by landing 3A in his SP, so I hoped him to do well here. However, his presentation is so good. The opening choreographic moves are similar to Patrick Chan's Sochi SP.

Yuto's coach is Mura's father, but his skating reminds of Shoma.
