Patrick's SP is to Blackbird and Dear Prudence. I confirmed this with him in September.

What determines the draw for the short program? It seems pretty random and not by past accomplishments.

So... Patrick's going to win this, right? All the other Canadians are doing it.

So this time around, Patrick's pressure comes from his teammates instead of his competitors. No break for Pchiddy.

He might as well buddy up with his closest rival, Nathan.

I was thinking the same thing. Nathan Chen has a horrible draw. He's a National Bronze medalist. I'm not even going to try and explain why Patrick isn't skating last.

Senior Bs are 100% random. At Nebelhorn, Chock/Bates skated first in the SD and they're World medalists, so it's just a random draw.

Thanks burntBREAD, that makes sense. I don't exactly agree but, I understand.

The pressure comes from his teammates and SarahSynchro. That's an extreme amount of pressure. Don't let me down, PChiddy!

not at all... i always say : focus on the process, not the results :)

You always say the right thing. That's exactly why I was so impressed by Kaetlyn's performances this week. I loved the way that she performed her programs as she was confident and is clearly in great shape. Following her performance, I was already happy and excited to see her do so well but, I still expected to see Mao win the event. It was bonus IMO, that Kaetlyn won after such a great performance but, I would have been happy with the Silver. I hope that made sense.

makes sense...for instance : if Kaetlyn had worried about the results, she may have tensed up... especially since she didn't do a 3-3 in the SP... at the same time, she had a PB for it, so the right attitude was :go out there for the LP and have fun...

I am not in her head so i truly don't know but it seems like she did that :)

winning : bonus
