Do we know who is on the Tech Panel panel for the ladies events? Trying to put my predictions together but I'm curious about this particular aspect if ya know what I mean? ;)

Sorry if this thread is deemed a nuisance but I didn't want to clutter the predictions thread with my off topic chatter

Its cool having such a thread
Also, while not playing myself, i for example like looking at other people's predictions.

^Me too. Most of the time I'm like, 'no way that's going to happen' though. I'm really surprised by some predictions. Like Jason Brown winning over Yuzuru and the majority convinced that Satoko will win this. But then Ice is slippery.

So when do we find out who is on the tech panel?

I'm going to guess no because CoC and NHK are too close plus there are other tech callers waiting for their turn. (ISU has lots of them, right?)

But I really have no idea. We won't find out until they post the skating orders I think?

I wouldn't say that I'm "convinced" that Satoko will win, but of all the ladies, I think she has the best shot. Anna scored 141 on home ice; Satoko scored a 136 at a Senior B; Satoko is going to have a slight home ice advantage, so I think that will bring her and Anna to be about even. I think a lot of people are counting Satoko down because of her lackluster performance at Skate Canada, but Anna has also had a lackluster performance herself. Only if there is a tech panel that looks super tough would I consider changing my predictions; and if I were to change my predictions, I would probably move Wakaba into first.

I think this thread is a great idea. I also wonder if this could make the lives of the scorers easier.

Is this still on after the earthquake and tsunami?

NHK is on a different island and rather inland. I don't know how much it is likely to be affected. I also think that if it was not happening, we would hear something very soon. Some of the Americans are already there and have said they are safe... for what that is worth.

Sapporo is next to Ishikari Bay on Hokkaido. Epicenter was Fukushima on main island of Honshu, near Sendai (Yuzuru's hometown).

Hopefully the NHK technical panel does not ignore double-footing and UR´s...., because a good techical panel makes it a good competition for all skaters, IMO.

No Mr. Strict-caller it seems.

That's for ladies. Susan Lynch is known for her obsession with flip, but isn't TS for the event. The TSA, Ms Ishikawa rings a bell for whatever reason that I don't remember right now and is the TS for men. (edit: she was the TS for men's at the last NHK Trophy)

So who are the strict ones again? I only recall CoC Ladies (Shin AMANO) and SC Ladies (Michael HOPFES).

I don't know. Mr. Gilberto VIADANA did the TS job for Skate Canada 2010 and TSA for recently Skate Canada 2015. Given the 2015 NHK Trophy judging, Ms Ishkawa for men seems okay to me.
