I am wondering if Japan could send Wakaba Higuchi to Junior Worlds if she doesn't make the Senior team.

They could but I'm not sure if they should take that opportunity away from a promising junior - plus I think Wakaba is highly unlikely not to make the senior team. Seems like she'll oust one of Mao or Rika.

ETA: Poor Gubanova. First Rika and now her getting taken out by the combos.

Is Gubanova ill too? Her skate looked very rushed compared to her previous outings...

Dunno, but when I was watching her practice she seemed to be wiping her nose a lot and rubbing her head. She landed all her jumps then though.

Gonna be pretty amazing if Eteri is able to get another JGP winner.

The PCS score is very generous and GOE perhaps too. I thought she will be behind Rika.

Is the ice too soft, still? What's with all the falls.

Liza N. is so musical - she's my fave Russian in the final.

Russian girls had great practices(Rika too IIRC) but they're not hitting their combos.
