Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays y'all! I feel a bit rough having stayed up till 3am to watch the Fuji TV broadcast on my shiny new screen 
. I find the ladies a bit underwhelming after the men and I am working tomorrow, so maybe I won't last till 1am ... but I would like to see Mao redeem herself, Rika Hongo to have a blast, and a good skate from everyone else. Satoko looks sure to win, but I'd like her to have some serious competition!
It's funny seeing Dai as "navigator" (commentator) - he still doesn't seem 100% relaxed. He's nice about everyone and is much more considerate and to the point when he interviews skaters. He complements grumpy Takeshi Honda (I say this with affection), who will curtly blurt out jumping and other mistakes.
Once again, many, many thanks to nonlangoh/tki for making it possible for me to enjoy Japanese Nationals.
