Thanks for info. Well, with current very bad shape of Atakhanova/Spiridonov, bad relationships between Mishina/Mirzoev and with bad twist Ustimkina/Volodin - I would say for Aussie possible to win JW and could continue Junior Russian Pair's curse since 2010 not winning it. Curse because of always have 4-5 pair in JGPF, but very often other pair from another country beat them. Although, even with two falls M/M should win. But anyway, it's good chance for Aussie to take a medal.

There are many junior pairs who weren't at GP this year. And they beat Boikova/kozlovski and Borisova/Sopot at domestic events.

Of course not. This pairing has ceased to exist.

It is not official until it is official. And it is not official at this time.

This is about two weeks old but this is pretty much how it is still today.

Now, they weren't selected for the Junior Worlds but Russian Fed haven't announced their substitutes yet. It may be that his knee is so bad that they couldn't skate there even if named as one of the substitutes but I Haven't seen anything official about his knee, Nastia's alleged comments somewhere in the net doesn't count as official. The last official account of his knee is the link below and their coach says that he might be OK to skate at the Junior Worlds if selected. While it is a fact that he has his knee problems but I think that big part of the problem is that he doesn't want to skate with her. The Fed can't do anything about his knee if it is the real problem but if it isn't then they might choose them as one of the substitutes hoping that if needed they will skate together one last time.

Entry list edited with russian selection and the 2 new skaters who reached TES : Morgan Flood (AZE) and Yamato Rowe (PHI)

From a recent local press release (in Mandarin) by CT skating federation, the estimated entry# to each is as follow:

Men: 40
Ladies: 45
Pairs: 16
Dance: 32

A bit curious! It looks more like last year's number of entries than this year's. Especially for singles skaters.

I think the minimum TES is 42, so unfortunately that would not be enough...I may be wrong though. I'm going by wikipedia.
