plushenkoofficial: Dear friends, today I finally can share with you a very happy event in my life, I have been waiting for this for a long time, just in 2 months I'm starting my Academy of figure skating in the heart of Moscow, with the best coaches and choreographers, and most importantly, of course, I will not only train, but also will be a mentor for professional athletes! I continue to skate for you, but I'm interested in engaging with those who love figure skating, because the ice is my life, most of my life I spent on the ice and do not intend to violate the traditions, doors of my academy are open to children from all over the world! We will do from the impossible - possible! I am sure we will succeed.)

He needs to do (or not do) whatever his doctors say. Period. However, I'm very happy to see him using his fame to give back and stay involved in the sport.

I guess he's ok, as long as he's having fun and not celebrating by doing 4Ts after scoring a goal.

Yes. But you don't forget the collisions, hits... I just hope they don't play so hardly. Otherwise in last year he played quad battle with Fernandez at Art on ice show. They are good friends, you know..

I am really curious about these! My first thought is whether he will invite Stephane, Johnny or Sandhu to coach there. It would be wonderful if my wishful thinking was materialized in the end! I am also bursting to know his first batch of students to be enrolled at this school. Will he take Artem Kovalev under his wings? I must be day-dreaming...

Based on his past glorious & difficult experiences, I am fully confident that he will be a great coach! Wish his transition a big success in the near future!

This will be amazing. Kind of wondered why none of the other Russian Rock stars of the skating world never did something similar, given how many of theme stick around in the sport and become coaches, etc. Must be that much more difficult to be entrepreneurial...??
