S-K/K it doesn't matter how they skate in the FS. She posted a photo of her medical team and said the doctor saved her life. She could have died. It is the same season, she is alive and skating with her love and able to do something she loves. It is quiet incredible!! What a blessings. Good luck to them.

definitely big cheer for all teams, there is so many of them I enjoy, but my heart is with Sui, Alexa, Lubov, Han, Chris and Dyan :ghug:

Portland OR, SkateAmerica, 2010. PaulE and I were watching Sui and Han practice from the first row. Sui fell hard on a throw and slid into the boards right in front of us. She was badly shaken. Han gently picked her up and held her and softly talked to her for awhile and they continued. They came in third.... We have always rooted for them.....and other Chineese teams....so many memories....

Let me sound off on behalf of Mrs. P who has worked hard to open these threads with comprehensive and detailed information in her opening posts. Before you ask a question re the event, look it up in the OP. It's all there, including competition time with a link for conversion kindly provided.

There is also a link to the thread with live streaming info and links. I like the ISU own commentary and commercial free video channel:

It's going to be interesting to see what Duhamel and Radford do in the FS. Not sure if they have enough technical content to overtake 1st. They are already ..5..6.? Pts back?

in general, it is in the LP that they can distance themselves with a clean skate. however, this season, I don't expect clean skating from them until worlds. If they were to go clean, it really depends what S/H have planned because we have no idea of their content... Are they doing 1 or 2 quads??? 0???? I think perhaps they are doing the 4Tw but not the throw 4S....

Regarding the Y/Z, i think one point or so back of silver is easy to overcome for them... Y/Z have much easier content which they skate with great flair and of course, great GOE. Their BV is relatively low compared to the pairs who use harder SBS jumps, throws etc... So it is very possible for Meagan and Eric to overtake them for the silver.

PCS wise, more than the other teams, I find that D/R are penalized as soon as they make a mistake. It is true that when some of their big tricks are not working, it distracts a bit more from the program as they set them up carefully... and well, this LP can only be done cleanly to look good IMHO.

In the end, we will see how everyone does but nothing is impossible for Meagan and Eric, but if i had to place a bet right now, I'd say they will end up a few points shy of Gold tonight.

I got up early to watch LIVE, but I'm not now going to be able to because, when I was in Eurosport Player, I discovered that the ski jumping from last weekend that I was planning to watch in between the Pairs and Ladies was expiring a LOT earlier than I thought. (Fogot it was in Japan).
