Meant to be a nice place to discuss the event before the start orders are available...

I don't understand why Skate Canada placed both Bausback and Tamura ahead of Cotop for Juniors. Sarah was there last year and didn't do very good. At the nationals, she had a great combination 3Lz3T, but then disaster struck. She fell so many times I lost count. Is Aurora too young for juniors? I also noticed she is not listed for junior GP either. Only Tamura and Bausback again...I have nothing against the 2 skaters, still I don't understand.

Tamura is the entry. Alternates are always listed alphabetically by last name, so Bausback is listed first because it's alphabetically before Cotop. There's no way to say who's the first alternate unless Canada listed them separately like USFS does when they publish their entries. Also, Aurora would not be listed as an alternate if she was age ineligible.

Also, no countries have released JGP assignments for next season. There's no way of knowing who will get what since numbers of spots per event haven't been decided yet, and won't until the event actually happens. If you're referencing this past JGP, Canada had limited spots (1 spot in each of 6 events) and Cotop may just not have done enough to earn one.

Thank you so much for your answer! Actually I clicked on assignments on Skate Canada website and they displayed results without any date, or i did not noticed that. I assumed it was something wrong (with me).

Yuna Shiraiwa has planned 3Lz-3Lo and 3Lz-3T in free  Bonus: Sohyun An (KOR) who replaced Yelim Kim has 3Lz-3T and 3Lo-3T :agree:
